HERE IS AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY CONVERTIBLE WITH BOTH TOPS AND MATCHING NUMBERS THAT IS IN NEARLY SHOWROOM CONDITION!Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person.Vehicle came out of upstate NY. Previous owner has had the car for quite some time and was slowly restoring it in his garage in his spare time. Recently, it has been sanded down to bare fiberglass and repainted with PPG style base/clear coat paint by professional shop. The interior has also been recently redone, including NEW seat covers, NEW carpet, NEW door panels and other small items. It has also had a NEW convertible top professionally installed within the last month. Motor was rebuilt in the late 1990s from what I know about the car, and transmission was professinally rebuilt a few years ago as well. Overall there has been a ton of work done to this car.Body is VERY STRAIGHT with excellent original gaps. Doors open and close nicely. OPTIONS:Manual steeringManual drum brakesPower windowsAM/FM radioRARE clock delete (replaced with vacuum gauge, never seen it before so if anyone knows something please let me know)15" steel wheels with correct spinner hubcaps and radial tiresPainted Hardtop Under the hood lies the original MATCHING NUMBERS 327ci/300hp V8 motor with Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice and throaty exhaust system. Transmission is solid and shifts good without any noises or grinding. I drive the car about once every other week for short trips around down or every once in a while I'll take it to a cruise night. It has never let me down and always performs great.Interior is basically ALL NEW. Seats were redone professionally (the bottoms are original pattern, the tops are slightly custom made), NEW carpet all around, NEW door panels, NEW armrest pads. The only things I didn't get a chance to install were the kick panels (which are included, brand new). Overall beautifully presentable for a high end driver.Underside has a SOLID frame, with only one spot in front of the rear driver's side wheel that has a silver dollar sized area where it is a bit soft, but that is an easy fix. Floorboards are excellent throughout. Excellent birdcage, and very SOLID pillar posts with NO visible rust that I could see.The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in EXCELLENT shape throughout, but it is NOT a $20k paintjob, so it will have minor imperfections here and there upon close examination. Front passenger side and rear driver's side bumpers should be rechromed (other two have very nice chrome). Rear passenger side muffler needs new hanger as it rattles a bit. Missing: spare tire & carrier (I do have the carrier hold down bracket, which is included with the car). Not working: Tachometer (disconnected due to HEI distributor), headlights (motors need to be reinstalled, I do have both of them in very good shape), perhaps a small gauge or two not working perfectly, may need a bulb or two replaced where needed. Shifter should be replaced as it is an older Hurst unit and sometimes doesn't catch 3rd gear so perhaps one of the rods should be replaced or adjusted. Tires should be replaced as they are showing wear around the edges. Needs new ignition key cylinder installed, which I will try to get before auction ends. No door lock keys. So overall she is not perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 40 years old so keep that in mind.If you just want a GREAT LOOKING AND VIRTUALLY RUST-FREE HIGH-END TURN-KEY DRIVER then this is the car for you.
