Up for auction is this 1975 Buick Lesabre convertible PROJECT CAR PLUS PARTS CAR. This car sat outside under a tarp in Indianapolis for a number of years before I got it a couple years ago. It has since been dried out and stored in my heated building awaiting a restoration which I am not going to get to. I was told the car ran and drove prior to it being parked and the motor was partially disassembled prior to me getting it. The motor is NOT locked and spins freely. The odometer ready 97,000 miles and I have no way to know if it is original but I assume so. The exterior body is straight, solid and rustfree other than the lower doors, which have rot but hidden by the moldings. I have original paint MINT Oklahoma doors as well as a NICE grille that will be offered to the winning bidder for an additional cost and are NOT included in this auction unless using the buy it now option. At that point, the doors and grille are included. The car has power windows, power locks, air conditioning, 5 Buick sport wheels, AM-FM stereo with 8 track tape deck. When the car was outside, there was a blanket in the trunk that got wet and caused the trunk floor to have pin hole rot. The only other rot I was able to locate is the driver side rear foot well, which is gone. Included in this auction is a SOLID, SOUTHERN 1975 Buick Lesabre 4 door sedan parts car with 79, 000 original miles that runs well and is very solid and can offer that rear seat floor section as well as a trunk floor! The convertible trunklid also has rot on the underside from that blanket but the 4 door has a very nice rustfree original lid and they are the same! The 4 door also has a towing package that includes a TH400 transmission and posi rear end. Although the transmission leaks, it worked well but I was going to rebuild it prior to installing it in the convertible. The 4 door also has power trunk release, power seat, speed alert and trip set speedometer, which were also going to be used in the convertible. The only pieces remaining on the 4 door parts car front end is the left fender with the inner fender and the rustfree front bumper assembly. The remaining parts to the front end have been sold. There were only 5100 1975 Buick Lesabre convertibles produced and they are beginning to command a decent buck once restored. Seldom does a restorable convertible come available, especially one that has most of the parts to complete. This is a decent winter project. Swap the motors and get it running and drive this summer!
