Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 2013 Shelby GT500 Coupe Deep Impact Blue/White Racing Stripes over Black Leather/White Stripes Only 2,100 miles – PERFECT If you’re looking at this right now, you’ve most likely already read everything there is to read about the new GT500. Trust me, it’s all true. First and foremost- While I am a distributor for the Ariel Atom supercar, this is my personal GT500 that was ordered mid-2012 and I took delivery of on August 31st. My name is Franz Forman and I’ve been in the luxury and specialty car business for the past 10 years. Throughout this timeframe, I’ve sold more than 1,300 premium sports, luxury, and exotic cars. Unfortunately, this has turned me into somewhat of a car snob. And, while I don’t feel that driving these cars makes me better than anyone else, I do feel that it provides for a knowledgeable perspective on the subject. That being said, I will throw this out there: For less than $60K, you cannot find a more incredible performing factory stock vehicle than the 2013 GT500. Case closed. (Please save your emails about a modified this or that- if it isn’t covered under a new vehicle warranty, it doesn’t count). While arguments could be made for a used Corvette Z06, BMW M3, Porsche 911, etc… I would definitely agree that these are all excellent considerations, and I’ve owned each of them during the past several years. However, they all compromise something in one area or another that makes the GT500 stand out as the winner for me. The Z06 is only a two-seater (and those two seats happen to be the worst seats in ANY performance car!). The M3 is great, but not even in the same performance ballpark as the Z or the 500. And the Porsches have to be at least five years older to make the price cut (and still get dusted by the new Shelby). To keep up in a 911 requires at least a 997 Turbo, and that’s going to cost you north of $70K for a six-year-old model with 40K miles that’s out of warranty. Handling? I will concede that I still prefer the steering feel of a 911 or M3 over the Shelby. But, the BMW and the Porsche set the industry standards for steering feel, and the Shelby still corners incredibly, while providing substantially better acceleration performance. Furthermore, the new GT500 is quieter on the road than the 911, gets better gas mileage than the M3, and has a higher top speed than either one of them (80 mph has you quietly humming down the highway at 1,600 rpm at 20+ mpg). And the Shelby’s exhaust note? Incredible! Factory stock you would swear the car has a Borla or Corsa system underneath. No highway-drone whatsoever, but with an authoritative growl when you step on it. If it’s so great than why am I selling it? Because I like it so much I decided to order a new one to “time-capsule” and give to my son one day. I think 2014 will be the last year of the big V8 and I want to have something special to collect before Ford starts building smaller displacement twin-turbo Mustangs in the near future. So, this is someone’s opportunity to save several grand on dealer fees, upgrades, and sales tax. Even if you can find one of these cars with the same options at MSRP you will be out the door for $63K+ including the upgrades I have done. Just save the $3,500 and buy mine. It’s already tinted, clear-shielded, waxed, and broken in. Highlights: - Recaro Seats - $1,600 - Custom Installed Sun-Tek Clearshield Package - $850 - Custom Installed Sun-Tek Window Tint (all windows) - $350 - Complete Synthetic Amsoil Oil/Filter/ATF Fluid Change at 1,000 miles - First oil change analysis performed by Blackstone Labs to verify proper break-in - Redline Hood Struts (no more lousy hood prop) - LED License plate bulbs upgrade - Laminated original window sticker and emissions decal - All original DORA documents from Ford regarding initial order with dealer - Private Party Arizona Sale – NO SALES TAX – Saves over $5K!! The buyer will receive two master keys, the books and manuals, laminated window sticker, the build records from Ford, and the first oil analysis from Blackstone Labs. (These guys analyze oil samples from airplane engines to make sure there is no abnormal wear. I wanted to make sure things were braking in properly so I sent the first sample). The car has already been waxed four times, and I even have pictures of it sitting in the rail-yard when it arrived here in Phoenix. Furthermore, I have been so anal about this car that I wouldn’t even let the dealer remove the plastics or go fill the car with gas at the time of delivery. It has never been in the rain and the launch control has never been used once (this can be verified at the dealer if you wish). The break-in was performed properly and the car has been sitting under a fitted cover in my garage from day one hooked up to a battery tender when not in use. My wife thinks I’m retarded, but the car is still perfect. My next one will be treated no differently! I own the car free and clear, and this is a Private Party transaction so there will be NO SALES TAX for AZ Residents (residents of other states should check with your local DMV for any tax/registration questions). This is an opportunity to have an upgraded car NOW that you can’t find anywhere, and save money in the process. Please give me a call if you would like to discuss in more detail. Test drives? Not a problem. You hand me $59K and you can test drive it for as long as you wish. This is not a desperation sale so please no low-ball offers. I am also happy to assist with vehicle transport service as I have access to many reliable transport companies, most with whom I have done business with over the past several years. Thanks!
