This is a 1972 Pontiac Formula 400 4 speed Firebird for sale. There were only 1260-1280 of these cars built because it was a strike year so this car will be very desireable when it is completed. I have had this car for 15 years and had every intention of restoring it myself but there just isn't enough time or money to finish them all! These are original, rust free Pontiac parts on this car, not aftermarket. This is a project car, but should be easier than most. The body is a bodymans dream which will save money in the restoration. The interior floors are solid but the trunk floor has some pin holes. The right quarter panel has had some work done on the lower part of the panel behind the wheel. The right front fender needs a small patch in the lower part of fender. The fiberglass hood is in nearly perfect condition with only two cracked louvers. 99% of the parts are with the car and I also have some extra trim pieces that I am throwing in with the car. The motor is not the original, but it is a 1970 Pontiac 400. The transmission is also not the original- it is a 1973 Fine Spline Muncie four speed transmission. This is the correct transmission for this car, just not the right year. It has the original Posi rear rend. I also have an original Hurst shifter and an aftermarket Hurst shifter. The Pontiac flywheel needs re-surfacing and I kept the old pressure plate for reference. I have tried to add as many pics as possible, but will supply more if interested.
