Vehicle Detail

1986 300e with only 104,000 original miles and a SUPER RARE 5 speed manual transmission! Only a few hundred manual transmission w124 300E Mercedes made it to the United States from 1986-1988. If they did, most had cloth seats, roll up windows, no sunroof and plastic hub caps. This is the Getrag 5 speed like the one used in the Cosworth 190e and what a super shifting transmission in all gears. This car has another rare option which is orthopedic LEATHER seats that adjust the comfort using air. A-E and 1-4 adjustments per seat. It is on both front seats. EVERYTHING on this car works. The Air Conditioning has been converted to R134 and is working nice. The power sunroof with the tilt feature works great. The cruise control works. The heat works. The radio and antenna work. The windows all work. The power locks work. The power telescopic wheel works. The car has the M-103 inline 6 cylinder motor that was just serviced up and runs GREAT. The car is very quick. All tuned up with new air filter, oil change and all fluids are correct and full. The shock tower mounts are new since the rubber gets old and they fail. Along with this I had a brand new exhaust from the converter (converter was not changed) back. I was lucky enough to find a set of 4 new 8 hole Mercedes original wheels and new Continental tires that were from a new 1995 E320 (Stored since the 1995 E320 was new). This car is about 1 inch lower than most and it does handle like a sports car but still has a nice ride. The AMG spoiler on the trunk lid is in super shap and looks sporty (The car is not an AMG Edition). The European Headlights work great and look nice. I have had the privilege of owning hundreds of Mercedes and I know the miles on this one are correct. The car runs, drives, and feels correct. The miles are also certified to be correct when I purchased it. The car is very original. The fenders have a spot of touch up on some small rust scabs that have not come back. There is no fillers or bondo in this car. The paint is single stage white. On the passenger door down low there is a light crease along the bottom of the door below the molding. The bumpers are free of dings. The leather is clean and comfortable. The carpets are fresh and clean as well. The wood is in very nice shape. The dash is blue and it is common to have sun crack so it does. The motor compartment is clean and well kept. A few rust spots have been touched up on the header (that is the white painted brace under the hood above the radiator). The auxiliary fan is working and free spinning. The Bilstien Shocks are in very nice shape. The car has recent front brake work. The brakes work perfectly. The rear brakes pads and caliper pins are new and the emergency brake pads and hardware is all new. The bottom of this car is nice and solid. The Rockers are pretty clean too! Well, I think the detailed pictures will tell the rest of this story. Remember, No extra fees in my auction. The title is clean, clear and in my hand. If the car is not for you, please tell somebody that may need a great car!
