Vehicle Detail

I purchased this very original 1966 Mustang "A" code about two years ago from the original owner. In the last two years I have completely disassembled the car (every part, nut and bolt) and refreshed, rebuilt or replaced virtually everything on the car. The original owner was a flight attendant based out of Los Angeles where the car was purchased. The car was manufactured in San Jose. She was an international stewardess and drove the car very little. She stated that a few years after the purchase, she gave the car to her father who had retired to Las Vegas. While in his possession, he only drove the car to and from the store and to a local casino where he spent some of his down time. About 12 years ago he was unable to drive anymore, and the car was parked in his garage. The car sat until his death a few years ago. She kept the car stored in the garage until she retired herself and moved to Las Vegas. She then sold the car to me. She still lives in Las Vegas and can be reached to verify this information. The car is an exceedingly solid and original "A" code (225 hp) with center console and power steering. Being in the southwest, it is absolutely rust free. She claims the vehicle was never in an accident and it retains all the original sheet metal, original engine including Autolite 4100 carb, original transmission, and original differential. Information tags are still in place on the carb, intake, transmission and differential just as they came from the factory. The undercarriage was originally painted with red oxide primer and I have restored it to the original configuartion. The interior was originally two tone turquoise and I changed it to two tone turquoise and white. Everything else is restored as original to the best of my ability. I am 61 and I have worked around vehicles all my life. My last job was with Las Vegas Rod and Custom until they went out of business a few years back. Prior to that, I owned my own shop in Texas where we restored many vehicles. I know what I am doing. The engine, transmission and rear end were torn down completely and rebuilt to factory specs or as close to original as possible. Paint is the original "U" code Tahoe Turquoise and is a quality two stage job with three coats of clear. Even the wheels and hub caps are original and Ford stamped. I could go on and on about everything that was done, but it would take pages. The photos that follow really speak for themselves. If you have any questions, or would like additional information or photos of specifics on the restoration I will handle them on a case by case basis. Many people think I am crazy for selling "NO RESERVE", but I am in a bit of a bind financially at the moment, so here it is. This is truly a gem with over 1000 hours of labor and costs that are something I would prefer not to think about. Thanks for looking and good luck. In other other words, if you see a photo with a 2011 date on it, it is in reality a 2012 photo. The car has less than 50 miles on it since the restoration was completed. It has only been driven to check on the performance of all the items that have been rebuilt or replaced. The car runs strong, straight and true. It brakes as it should. Timing has been retarded slightly to run it efficiently on 91 octane premium pump gas.On Dec-22-12 at 11:29:27 PST, seller added the following information:In response to someone's question about the engine rebuild, I neglected to say that it had a complete valve job done when the engine was torn down. Thanks
