Vehicle Detail

Important: The shocks and fenders photographed will be replaced with NEW reconditioned and polished shocks with matching pink covers and NEW chrome replacement fenders for front and rear. A delivery delay prevented me from having everything installed by auction start. About $250 in new parts will be included free (buddy pegs, chain guard decal, plastic battery sleeve, speedo cable, etc.) by auction end. Overview: Here is a stunning, hot pink CT70K1 completely overhauled and ready for a rider. Not a single nut or bolt was left untouched. This is a one of a kind, one-kick bike that maintains nearly all of the original workings, with a few custom touches. The bike is titled and Tulsa Retro Honda has 100% positive feedback on all transactions, so bid with confidence. If you can’t wait until the end of the auction and want to buy-it-now, I will consider all offers until the the last days of the auction. Body: The original K1 frame was completely disassembled and professionally media blasted before getting professionally powder coated hot pink for a life-long brilliant finish. Many people neglect the inside of the frame when repainting these bikes, but as you can see all crevices were covered with a heavy pink coating. New bushings were installed in the swingarm and new steering head bearings installed. A new exhaust system was installed. The bike will have refurbished OEM shocks with matching pink covers (the chrome ones in the original photo were temporary). New chrome replacement fenders will be included and installed. New OEM style Honda Bridgestone Trail Wings were mounted to the original wheels, which were blasted and powder coated a color that mimics the original Honda cloud silver. One of the front fork covers has a ding in it (see photos). It doesn’t affect fork function, so I opted to reuse the original covers. There are a few other items on the bike that are original and although not perfect, deserved to stay with the bike to maintain original Honda quality. Photos will key you into the cosmetic condition of the bike. New handlebars have updated clone controls mounted. New cables ensure smooth functioning. Most parts have been replaced or polished. I’ve spent more than $1500 in parts in the past month ALONE. You’ll appreciate the new seat, decals, and all the other parts that will go unmentioned. Mechanical: The motor was soda blasted and completely disassembled. New transmission bearings were installed and the engine cases were thoroughly cleaned. New Honda OEM piston, rings, and pins were fitted to a new cylinder. The head’s valve seats were professionally cleaned/ground. It has a new valve, cam chain, cam chain sprocket, and other miscellaneous new head parts. A new clutch ensures smooth shifting. Original mileage is about 5400, but is listed as 0 because of the complete restore. All new gaskets were installed in the motor. The wheels were cleaned and new bearings and seals were installed. New brakes ensure good stopping power. A new OEM battery, spark plug, and coil wire highlight the electrical system updates. The gas tank was cleaned, new lines run, and the carburetor was soda blasted, cleaned and a new kit installed. It is a one-kick bike that is a lot of fun and will surely last for years to come. As you'll notice, there were a few things out of place in the photos (missing speedometer cable, cable, etc) that have been, or will be installed before auction end. If you have any specific questions, please ask. I will provide new photos (watch the item description for a link) as soon as I get the new parts. Want further customization? Just ask. I can do most things you’d like to this bike. For example, I have a full front disc brake setup that I could install for parts+labor. The bike has a current title and has been registered for off-highway use in OK. The license plate is original, but no longer valid ... as the new tag is a decal. Shipping and Bidding I will gladly work with the buyer to get it successfully shipped/delivered. I will consider personal delivery to anywhere within 275 miles of Tulsa for a fee. You’ll find Tulsa to be nice and centrally located so shipping anywhere in the states should be affordable. International bidders MUST have adequate feedback and contact me before bidding.
