Ebay cancelled my listing because it says that I did not include the words: “Pre-sale”. The bidding was not over but the bidding was at $9,500 at the time of cancellation. So here you go: this is a Pre-sale of my Tesla Model S reservation #5185. The winning bidder will be buying my place in line. In addition, the winner will be responsible to repay me the $5,000 deposit that I made to Tesla and will be responsible for the final purchase price of the car and the options that YOU choose. Please be sure you understand that before bidding. I apologize for this repetitive listing but I want to make sure that you know what you are buying. Tesla says that the car will be delivered about January 10, 2013. The successful bidder will be able to specify to Tesla the final point of delivery directly from Tesla. Upon payment of your deposit, I will give to the winner a binding bill of sale. We will execute the bill of sale when I have received full payment. From that point forward, the winner will own the reservation and will deal directly with Tesla. I have an email from Tesla asking whose name, address, etc., that the registration should be in. We will reply to that email with the winner’s name, address, etc., upon full payment to me. The winning bidder will be the first owner of the car and will qualify for all federal and state incentives, including the $7,500 tax credit. As you may know, ordering a Tesla S now means about a year’s wait. In this auction you have the opportunity to avoid waiting a year for delivery. That’s what’s you’re buying. I ordered this model when I thought that I was not going to be successful ordering the limited edition Signature model. Now I have my Signature model sitting in my garage. I do not need two (although I’d certainly LIKE to have two!). Tesla builds every Model S to the specifications of the owner. We are now at the stage where you get to specify ALL of the details of the order. So, the winning bidder will be able to design the car as you like it: color, interior, options, battery pack, etc., are ALL available for YOU to choose. This auction is for the right to configure and then purchase a Tesla Model S luxury sedan using my position in the reservation queue. The delivery time estimates come from Tesla, so please note that the delivery date is not guaranteed. If Tesla’s schedule slips, you can also expect that all other cars ordered after mine will also slip. As you can see, I am a long-time Ebayer…. I have a 100% positive feedback record. I am serious and legitimate. I apologize if the following description is repetitive but I want to make sure any bidders understand clearly what they are bidding for, what is included, and what is not included. So, you will be buying my place in line in this auction. You will receive from me a binding bill of sale for the reservation and you will own it from that point forward. You will deal directly with Tesla and receive delivery of the car directly from Tesla. The winning bidder will have 48 hours from completion of the auction to pay me a deposit on the winning bid. The winner will have 72 hours to wire me the balance of the winning auction amount. Upon winning you will also work with me to specify all of the details for the car as you desire and incorporate all of that into the bill of sale. You will have 5 calendar days to complete the specification process utilizing Tesla’s on-line design process. When you have completed the specifications, you will also reimburse me for the $5,000 deposit that I made on the car when I ordered it. I will then transmit the bill of sale to you and the specifications to Tesla upon receipt of my original deposit to Tesla ($5,000). Again, the reimbursement of the deposit and the specifications will be due no later than 5 days after the end of the auction. When the car is ready and you have to pay Tesla the balance due, you will also be responsible to pay Tesla the balance between the base price for the car plus whatever options YOU order (I have not ordered any so far), minus the $5,000 deposit that you paid to me. This auction makes it possible for you to have your own designed brand new Tesla S earlier than getting on Tesla’s waiting list. As stated above, this auction price is only to buy my place in line. Within 5 days of auction close, you will also be responsible to reimburse me for the $5,000 deposit that I made to Tesla and you will not be charged again for the deposit at the time of final payment to Tesla. That is, you will be responsible to pay the price of the car, net of the $5,000 deposit I made over a year ago to reserve this position, any taxes, delivery/transportation costs, and any other fees are your responsibility. Put simply, this auction is allowing you to purchase my place in line. You will pay me the total of the winning auction bid plus my $5,000 deposit. You will pay the rest at the point of delivery directly to Tesla. The final cost of the vehicle that you specify is then up to you. The final payment will be the responsibility of the auction winner. Once the auction is complete and after receipt of the winning auction price (within 48 hours of the close of the auction) and receipt of my original deposit ($5,000, due within 5 calendar days of the close of the auction), we will ensure your configuration is provided to Tesla and plan how you will take delivery of the vehicle. I expect that I will be able to transfer the name of the purchaser to you, you will take delivery from Tesla at a location specified by you, and you will pay the balance directly to Tesla. You will be the first registered owner of the car. Note that you will need to consult with your tax attorney or make the judgment yourself as to whether or not you qualify for the federal tax credit and California state tax credit. The Tesla web site provides a process where you can design your car in detail and get the final price as part of that process. There is no other production car in the world like the Tesla Model S. I will provide to you a binding bill of sale for your review upon payment of my original deposit of $5,000 made to Tesla. This is due within five (5) calendar days of the end of the auction to reimburse me for the deposit that I made on the car. We will execute the bill of sale and you will own the reservation in your name. Immediately thereafter, the detailed specifications of the car you ordered will be transmitted to Tesla in your name. You will deal directly with Tesla from that point forward. The remainder of all funds to be paid to Tesla will be due according to Tesla’s schedule. And actual delivery of the car will be provided by Tesla. We will transfer the place in line to a name, address, and point of delivery to a location that you specify. Failure to provide any of the payments within their specified periods will result in the forfeit of the amounts paid as of that time. The initial deposit after the close of auction must be made by PayPal or cash. The balance of the auction payment and my $5,000 deposit must be made by wire transfer.
