2006 Ram 1500 SLT MegaCab, Rear wheel drive. 80,000 miles. 44 inches of rear legroom, equivalent to a Lincoln Town Car limousine so there is plenty of room for the whole family. Cab length of 111 inches which is over 12 inches longer than a Ford F-250 Crew Cab. Original owner. Georgia truck never driven in snow. 5.7 Hemi V8 345hp/375 ft-lb torque. Oil changed every 3k miles with Syntec and Mobil 1. 5 speed automatic transmission. 4 wheel disc brakes with ABS. Runs great and shifts great. Over 8,000 lbs gross vehicle weight so no emissions testing required in most states. Factory tow package with rear hitch and auxiliary transmission and engine oil coolers. This 2006 was the first year for the fully boxed frame on the Ram. This truck is on the 2500 Heavy Duty frame, rear axle, brakes and suspension. 2006 added thicker glass with better weatherstripping for less wind noise so it is very quiet inside. 2006 also came with an all new dashboard that has soft touch materials and to me really shows the Daimler influence. This year also has 20% larger headlights than the 2002-2005. The 4x4 continued with the solid front axle and recirculating ball steering but these 2WD trucks got an all new short arm/long arm (SLA) independent front suspension and rack and pinion steering. It drives more like a luxury car than a truck. I was never a "Dodge/Mopar man" before buying this Ram but have been very impressed with this truck. It only went back to the dealer once for warranty work. In 2008 it needed a flapper door replaced in the ventilation system. That was replaced and I was told by a "fixed" part that no longer had the problem the original did. Other than that she has been rock solid with no problems. The interior quality is very good. The leather wrapped steering wheel feels nice and the interior plastics while not Audi/VW quality look good and the switch gear has a good feel. There is plenty of storage space in the console and door panels and big cupholders. I would purchase another Ram. The truck has privacy glass with professionally installed 35% tint on front windows. The back and rear windows are tinted to 2% limo tint legal per Georgia law. Dual Air bags. Factory pass key type immobilizer security system. Cold A/C with rear vents. Power windows, door locks and driver's seat. Trip computer. 6 disc CD changer/MP3 Infinity Sound system. Uplevel ($900 option new) cloth front bucket seats with center console. Reclining 60/40 split rear seat with armrest and cup holders that flips down for a flat load floor. Also has storage compartments behind rear seats. This is the only crew cab type truck with a reclining rear seat. Power rear sliding window. 3M clear protective vinyl on headlights and fog lamps added when truck was new. Truck has a factory Ram bed liner and I added a chrome clad locking fuel door. I still have the factory fuel door with the truck. Recent new Optima Redtop battery. Recent new 60,000 mile warranty Yokohama Geolandars with 1,100 miles on them. They include tire lifetime balance/rotation for free at Discount Tire. Recent front brakes replaced with new cross drilled discs and new brake pads. The truck stops excellent with no vibrations and no steering wheel shimmy. The cross drilled discs help release heat and gasses that can build up and warp cheaper rotors. I also added an exhaust cutout on the factory stock 3" exhaust. This can be opened to bypass the muffler for great loud HEMI sound or easily closed and have stock luxury car type quiet. The truck has excellent alignment and wheel balance and is solid. There are no disappointments in the way it drives! Buy with confidence! The paint is an 8/10 very shiny and clean. I have kept it covered when not in use with a fabric car cover that I will include in the sale. The first four years the truck was parked in underground parking at my office four days a week 10 hours a day. The body is a 7 out of 10. There are four small dings on the passenger side one in rear quarter panel, one in passenger side rear door. Passenger front door has a larger ding in the door and one on the fender right below the HEMI badge. Two door dings on the driver's side with one on the bottom door corner and the other on the rear door. Even with the factory door guards I finally had to start taking two parking spots! I have an estimate of about $1500 for paintless dent/ding removal and have factored this into the price of the truck. Kelly Blue Book lists this truck for $15,805 as good. NADA.com (National Auto Dealers Association) has clean retail price at $17,350. You wouldn't be able to replace this truck for this price unless you get one with over twice the mileage. Don't take a chance and get a formerly repossessed or wrecked truck! Buy this Ram from the original owner and save over $1500 with no sales tax and no dealer fees! The price I accept is what you pay.
