Vehicle Detail
HERE IS ANOTHER CAR FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. THIS ONE IS A VERY COOL RED/WHITE 1955 CHEVROLET 210 2 DOOR POST SEDAN THAT RUNS/DRIVES GREAT AND IS READY FOR SOMEONE TO ENJOY IT OR DO SOME TLC TO IT AS THEY SEE FIT. Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the vehicle in person. Vehicle came out of sunny Florida and i've owned it for the last few years. Previous owner basically did quite a bit of mechanical work to get the car running/shifting/braking properly and his partner did the aesthetic work in his garage basically. Vehicle has NEW PAINT (relatively amateur, but looks good from 20 feet), NEW front bumper, interior was done over some time in the mid 2000s, NEWER wheels/tires etc, NEWER dual exhaust with glass-pack mufflers. Body is fairly straight throughout with good gaps. For some reason after the car was painted it came out a bit wavy throughout the sides and tops of fenders. Doors open and close nicely. Panel fit is pretty good overall for a 50s car. Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great. Transmission shifts good with a mild shift kit installed. Now as for driving the car, i've taken it out mostly around the neighborhood here and there for a few functions, every once in a while I take it to a local cruise night. Never overheats. Steers very well and overall I would feel confident taking the car anywhere with very little work. Motor is supposedly a 327ci V8 that is basically all stock with no modifications other than a very mild performance camshaft and a 0.030 overbore from what I was told. Fires right up, doesn't blow smoke, idles great and is very healthy. Interior is very presentable for a driver as you can see. Seats and door panels were redone some time ago. Carpet is a bit worn but still presentable. Headliner has some staining but looks good overall. Dash is nicely painted. Underside has a SOLID frame throughout. Floors appear to have been amateurly patched in a few places and although there are no large holes that I could see, they should be redone properly to do the car justice. A couple of the side frame braces are rusted as well, but they can easily be found online as it's a common tri-five issue. SOLID TRUNK, SOLID rear shock towers and inner fender wells. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint as mentioned is amateurish (20 footer and looks nicer in pictures). Wavy down the sides and although it looks good from a distance it needs a little fine turning at least. Front driver's side glass needs replacing. Overall chrome trim needs upgrading (fender emblems, hood spear, door handles and rear bumper ends and bumper guards). Not working: horn, clock, a couple of the dash gauges. Brakes work well but may need one wheel cylinder as it leans to one side when you brake hard. Underside will need some work as I've described earlier. So overall she is nowhere near perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. If you just want a VERY PRESENTABLE DRIVER needing tlc, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some serious investment to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO. AT THE VERY LEAST TAKE A LOOK AT ALL THE ADDITIONAL PICTURES ON THE LINK ABOVE.
