HERE IS ANOTHER CAR FROM MY PERSONAL COLLECTION. THIS ONE IS A VERY CLEAN 1982 JEEP CJ-8 SCRAMBLER THAT IS VIRTUALLY ALL STOCK AND HAS LITTLE IF ANY RUST. BEST OF ALL IT IS TURN-KEY AND READY TO CRUISE! Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person. Vehicle came out of New York but has been garaged it's entire life. I've had it since the late 1990s and it's been a wonderful car. I've used it at least a couple of times a week as my personal parts getter and run around truck. Recently, I put NEW tires on it, rhynolined the back of the bed and inside of the cabin, put a NEW battery in it and tuned it as needed. I have a folder an inch thick full of receipts, maintenance records and service history for the vehicle from the previous owner. OPTIONS: Power Steering Power DISC front brakes Manual windows Automatic transmission 258ci Inline 6 cylinder motor Stock 4x4 system with locking hubs Half hardtop Jeep console Rear seat Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice stock exhaust system. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. Now as for driving the car, i've taken it out mostly around the neighborhood here and there for a few functions, every once in a while I take it to a local cruise night and show to hunt for some parts and transport them back. You can cruise with it on the highway all day and I would trust it to drive anywhere at the drop of a hat. Motor is a stock NUMBERS MATCHING 258ci Inline 6 cylinder with NO performance upgrades other than the breather (I have the original air cleaner). Bone stock. Interior is very nice overall and from what I can tell pretty original other than the BestFit seats which were replaced a few years ago. Shows nicely but is NOT show quality by any means, with everyday wear and tear. Underside is pretty clean throughout with SOLID frame rails. Floorboards are very clean as well, with one tiny hole by the driver's side about the size of a golfball and some separation from the rocker panel (I will have my local body shop fix this issue if reserve is met). Overall, much nicer than your average rusted out and beaten down jeep. Although the car has been on the east coast, it has NOT seen winters since i've had it, and from talking to the previous owner, he kept it garaged throughout his ownership as well. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in FAIR shape overall with DECENT shine (was repainted a couple of years before I got it towards the late 1990s and it was an amateur respray so there is some minor waviness and you can see a lot of small imperfections). Not working: fuel gauge (needs new sending unit), horn (rewired under the dash). Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 30 years old so keep that in mind. If you just want a GOOD LOOKING DRIVER needing tlc, this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some considerable investment or total restoration to bring it up to that level of course.
