1957 Volkswagen Beetle Black paint is in good condition Black interior is in good condition ID number in spare tire compartment: 565354 ID number on chassis under rear seat: 1578761 ID number on engine case: AE 759811 The body of this beetle is in amazing condition. Paint has a few minor blemishes/scratches. Chassis and pan are also in great shape. Floorpans are solid, even under the battery tray and up by the pedal assembly. Heater channels and door sills are super solid. Only rust is along the bottom edge of the driver's side channel, by the air vent. I'll take a picture of it. Engine is not original to the car. It is a 1600 cc single port that runs well Beetle has been converted to 12 volt Window rubber is in decent shape, but does have minor cracking going on (no leaks) Car needs wiper blades No spare tire 2 keys for ignition, one for trunk release, but none for door latches- will need replaced or keys made Hood has a small kink/crack on drivers side from the weight of the open trunk lid with just the one support. See picture There is a paint chip/imperfection to the right of the license plate light on decklid. See picture There is a one inch ding on the front left fender, beneath the bullet turn signal housing. No rust on the body of car. All lights work on this Beetle (Headlights, brake lights, turn signals, dash light & dome light) I have done my best to describe all imperfections so there are no surprises when you take delivery of this beautiful beetle.
