Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM. It is a 1977 vehicle and yes it does need some work if you want to restore it but it is an excellent car to start with. The car runs and drives great. No vibration in the steering and it doesn't pull to one side or the other. I was going to do some work to the car but decided to sell it as it is. I always try to describe what I am selling as accurate as possible so here is what I can tell you about the car. Like I said the car runs and drives great. The transmission works perfect and shifts exactly the way it should. The engine was recently rebuilt and is very clean as you can see in the pictures. It has new exhausts from the manifold back and it sounds good. It is the 6.6 liter and has the shaker hood with a quadrajet 4 barrel carb. The body, frame and undercarrage are really clean but there is a hole about the size of a quarter on the drivers side floor board. That could easily be fixed and the rest of the underbody looks really good. The wheels on the car are Keystone Classics and I don't have the snowflake wheels that origionally came with the car. The A/C and heater core have been removed and the water lines to the heater have been coupled together. I've been looking at parts to replace them and they aren't hard to find or expensive. There is also a small oil leak toward the front of the engine that looks like it's around the timing chain cover. All the gauges work on the car except the temparture gauge. I'm sure that was unhooked when the heater core was removed. I have driven the car some distances and it doesnt run hot. All the glass in the car is good and doors and windows work. It does not have power locks or windows. The interior could use some work but it isn't all ragged out. With that I think I have pretty much covered everything. If you want to make it an everyday driver it would take very little but there is the potintial to take it to what ever level you choose. If the car doesn't sell I will start doing some work on it myself after the first of the year. So if your looking for a Trans AM to make a daily driver or to restore this would be a good one to start with and it is a really fun car to drive. I have tried to cover everything completely and will be glad to answer any questions you may have. The car is being sold as is and the buyer is responsible for transporting the vehicle. If you plan on having it picked up I will be glad to help with coordinating that. A $200.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end and the balance due in cash or cashiers check within 7 days of the auction end. Thanks for looking and good luck.On Dec-09-12 at 18:11:19 PST, seller added the following information: I thought that I should clarify what I have listed as the milage for this car. The odometer reads 27000 miles but I am sure that it has been turned over. If you have placed a bid with the impression that the car has only 27000 miles I don't want you to continue with the wrong impression. I always try to be up front and honest with everything.
