1987 Mustang GT Convertible 5.0I am the second owner.I purchased it in the summer of 2001 when we only had one child. Now we have three and it never gets to go out and play any more......This was never a daily driver for us.From June to December, 2001 we did the following.....Painted it 93 Mustang Green (was Red) and added the White Stripe and Letters.Replaced all Interior Plastic Pieces that you see with 1989 Dark Grey (was Red)Had the Original 1987 Seats Recovered in Dark Grey (at a Custom Upholstery shop in Santa Ana)Replaced the convertible top (same Upholstery Shop)Replaced the carpet to match.Replaced the factory Steel Hood with the Fiberglass Stormin Norman Hood with Functional Hood Scoop and Forced Air InductionReplaced the Factory air box with the K&N cone and box that matches the hood.Upgraded the Stereo (just head unit, nothing cut)Removed the luggage rack on the truck and replaced it with a small spoiler (didn't like the luggage rack, but it needed something).Replaced all 6 sections of headlights/turn signals/corners to clear lenses (yes it was done properly with yellow bulbs now inside)Replaced Wheels and Tires with ones that would have normally come on a 1993 of this color.Always used synthetic fluids in engine, transmission, and differential. (Mobil 1 for oil, not sure of brand for others)Last year we spent almost $3000 and replaced the transmission at G&S Transmission in Garden Grove (I wouldn't let anyone else touch any of my transmissions)This was the top of the line for its year so I won't bother listing all of the features it has you can see all of the buttons and switches if you are familiar with these cars like remote fuel door and trunk release buttons...I have tried to take 8 pictures walking around the entire vehicle with the top up as well as down. I went out of my way to take a picture of all of the blemishes I noticed in the car but understand this car is 25 years old at this point and I am not going to tell you it is perfect. I would have no problem jumping behind the wheel and driving it cross country in 15 minutes as I treat all of my cars the same whether daily drivers or not.I am in need of money to repair another vehicle I just acquired so this may become my daily driver and the mileage may be higher than what is stated if the add runs for more than a couple days.As of today the odometer shows 147,087. (keep in mind it was a canadian car so it actually shows the KM amount but I converted it to miles using Google.I am hoping to have a link at the end of this text to go to dropbox and see all of the pictures but if you want to see anything else just let me know and I will do my best to get them posted within 24 hours.Here are other things you should know about this car....Purchased replacement molding for around the base of the convertible top but it is still in the packaging.I have one extra wheel in case you want to put a full size spare together if taken on a longer trip than our usual dinner, down PCH, home.There are a couple interior pieces missing that I have somewhere but simply cannot locate. You should see them in the pictures (fuse cover below steering wheel, bezel around rear window controls, bezel around power window controls on center console, part of the ash tray in the center console.Problems with the car....The rear view mirror has lights on the bottom of it but they were draining the battery so they are disconnected.See pictures of the corners that were rubbedI thought there was a small chip in the windshield but I just looked at it and cannot locate it....I am sure it is there somewhere....Too fast for a teenager. If you are looking for a car for a teenager please look elsewhere they will kill the car (and possibly themselves).The A/C did not work when I took the car out yesterday for a drive. I will look into it and if it just needs recharged I will likely have it done but assume it is broken so you are not disappointed.It is 25 years old assume there are other items that you would see that I wouldn't since I am used to seeing the car daily.The car needs a good detail and the paint could use a good clay bar job.I am asking $5000 obo. I am not in a rush to sell this car so please do not offend me with low ball offers.
