Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1989 Honda Pacific Coast PC800. It has less than 4,500 original miles, and has never been wrecked or tipped over. The motorcycle is in very good to excellent condition, and is garage kept when not in use. I am only selling this nice machine to buy more metal fabrication tools to take my welding hobby to the next level. If it weren't for that, I would hang onto this very, very nice motorcycle. Work recently performed by myself: Oil change. Coolant flush and refill. Hydraulic brake and clutch fliud flush and refill. Rear differential oil change. Balanced and installed new Metzler ME880 radials front and rear. Included in sale: Owner's manual w/pouch in excellent condition. Complete tool set w/pouch in excellent condition. Battery Tender Junior. (pigtail pre-wired) Gerbing's heated gear pigtail pre-wired. OEM Hondaline passenger backrest. (OEM pad has a 1/2" tear) Utopia front and rear backrests. (Front backrest bracketry missing. Rear Utopia pad is mounted on OEM Hondaline bracket) Brand new Clearview +6" clear touring windscreen with 5-position Gold Wing style vent. (installed - OEM windscreen in excellent condition included) Extremely rare Xtra large AGV helmet in matching color with Pacific Coast graphics. Interior has some wear, but the exterior is in very good condition with no apparent drops. This motorcycle is turn-key and ready to ride anywhere. I even set it up for winter commuting duty. I purchased this fine machine from the original owner less than 6 months ago with every intention of hanging onto it for a very long time, but ideas change. I simply want to take my welding to a higher level of quality with some more quality tools. The sale of this bike will allow this to happen. The motorcycle runs, shifts, and drives as smoothly and quietly as a Swiss watch, just as it was designed to do. There are no issues whatsoever. Flaws: The right cover near the flip-up passenger foot pegs has a crack that can only be seen when trying to remove the panel. It will not even photograph. I suspect this happened when the previous owner or a mechanic tried to access the battery without removing the panels in the proper order. The reflector in the very center of the taillight assembly is pushed in very slightly. It does not affect it's performance in any way. It took me a full month to even notice it. I just don't want any surprises for the new owner. This is a very nice machine and is considered one of Honda's best kept secrets. There are many examples out there with excess of 200,000 miles still going strong. Pearl white was only offered in 1989, and this is also the very first year of production. That, combined with the condition of this motorcycle could make this very collectable. Motorcycle is located in Front Royal, VA, 22630. Message me through ebay, or text/call my cell at 540-631-7842 to schedule a time to inspect. My reserve is set at a full $1000 less than what I have in the machine. If I can't get at least that, I'm not giving the bike away. This is not a fire sale. Thank you for looking. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. Above photos from when I purchased the bike from owner #1 back in late July of this year with 2,300 miles on the ododmeter. Above photos show Metzeler tires, Clearview windshield, OEM backrest w/ Utopia pad, and Formotion clock installed. (Clock installed with 2-sided 3M emblem tape for easy removal with no damage if desired) Above - all the literature included in the sale of the bike: original Honda sales brochure from 1989, and a Rider magazine from May, 1989 with a full write-up. All in very good to excellent condition. No rips or tears. If you have been looking for what may be the nicest PC800 on the planet currently for sale, you just found it. Don't let this one get away. On Dec-10-12 at 08:23:15 PST, seller added the following information: *** EDIT *** Reserve has just been slashed. Next bid will meet or exceed reserve. There are currently (12-10-12) 146 people watching this auction. I am losing money on this motorcycle, but I'm ready to take my welding/fabricating to the next level, so the PC unfortunately has to go bye-bye. I will not end this auction early for anyone. If you want it, bid on it. It will not be listed again. Not by me, anyway. Good luck and thank you very much for stopping by and looking.
