Vehicle Detail
HERE IS AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 1970 PONTIAC GTO "THE JUDGE" WITH ITS 400CI/366HP RAM AIR III MOTOR AND 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION IN FACTORY ORBIT ORANGE WITH 79K ORIGINAL MILES. TURN-KEY AND READY TO CRUISE ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY!Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person.Vehicle came out of Iola, Wisconsin when I was down there for work some time ago. This was basically a very original and nearly rust-free car that had one older repaint, still retains its original interior and still looks killer. Original 79,010 miles on the car. Comes with good options and PHS DOCUMENTATION to prove it is a real Judge.Body is VERY STRAIGHT with excellent original gaps. Doors open and close flawlessly. I don't think you'll find a nicer car for the money than this one!OPTIONS:Power steeringPower DISC front brakesRemote MirrorRear window defoggerElectric ClockAM-FM 8 track player400ci366hp 4bbl. V8 with Ram Air III setup as per factory specifications. Tranmission is a close-ratio Muncie 4 speed, with 3.55 rear end gear ratio. Transmission and rear end are believed to be matching numbers to the car, while motor is not. Supposedly the vehicle had some race history (in stock form, without being modified) and the original owner blew up the motor during a race. I don't have it, or know of its whereabouts.Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice and throaty exhaust system. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. I drove the car 200+ miles when I bought it and it drove nearly brand new!!!. You can cruise with it on the highway all day at 65-70 mph and I would trust it to drive anywhere at the drop of a hat.Interior is basically ALL ORIGINAL. Beautiful shape overall with a seam split by the driver's left shoulder and small cut by passenger side front bottom. Headliner very nice with one small hole about the size of a quarter. Carpet very presentable. Nice door panels. Immaculate dash. Good steering wheel. Overall beautifully presentable for a driver.Underside has a ROCK SOLID frame. Floorboards are excellent throughout and ORIGINAL. Very SOLID trunk pan. As nice as you can get in an original car that has had one repaint. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in good to very good shape throughout, considering it is nearly 20 years old. Cleans up very nice with some small waves, chips and a couple of tiny scuffs by the front bumper (which is also original and NOT a replacement). May have a hint of filler by lower doors and a couple of other tiny areas but hard to notice. Not working: speedometer needs new cable, clock, horn, radio lights up but no sound, may need a bulb or two replaced here and there where needed. Missing: spare/jack. So overall she is not perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 40 years old so keep that in mind.If you just want a GREAT LOOKING AND VIRTUALLY RUST-FREE HIGH-END TURN-KEY DRIVER then this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some work to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO.Auction Rules:We would like to encourage you to Please follow our rules of the auction and refrain from creating your own!
