1938 Ford fuel tanker truck. Art Deco styling to the maximum. I've owned it several years but, now need the space so it's up for bidding for the first time! The body and tanker seem overall quite solid and very little rust considering the age. I have not had it running but, did install a rebuilt 6 volt starter 6 years ago. Engine does turn over. That's about it. Sold AS NOT RUNNING. Radiator is out but, I have it and is included. It has some body damage on rear quarter and rear sheetmetal areas. Nothing that cannot be fixed or replaced by decent or better body man. Over all complete and intact. It still has fuel hose reel and spout nozzle in the rear (impressive) and the fuel pump counter apperatous in the side compartment. All the lids on the fuel tanker are in good shape (patent dated 1934). This truck still has it's completed build date neatly painted above passenger windshield header( inside) "0.6-23-38" see photo. "SHELL" block letters that get affixed to the side of tanker are missing. They can be plasma cut by any good welding shop and simply bolted back on for a few hundred dollars. Rolls and steers fine. Front tires were new 5 years ago. Bidders please note this is a real auction. So if you win the truck you pay for it and pick it up. I will assist your shipper. Rear tires are bad but, hold air decent enough for rolling on a flatbed/transport. Located at Hemet Ca 92544. Title I had lost years ago. I can give you a bill of sale. The DMV backround is CLEAR. So no big fees will be due. It has been off the road since late 1950s early 60s This truck is sold as-is where is. Over 70 years old/used hence: NO WARRANTY.
