1971 VW TYPE III FASTBACK This is an amazing little car. So sorry to be selling it but the times demand I do. All original, ridiculously low miles -- a perfect subject for restoration. This was the first car we bought when we moved to LA and it treated us so well for years. 96,257 Original Miles (yes, really.) The engine is in amazing shape. 3 owners - First owners bought it on the lot in 1971 and owned it in LA until 7 years ago, sold it to a man in Venice, CA. I bought it in Venice from him 4 years ago. Always garaged its whole life. Automatic Transmission (rare)Very clean inside & outBuzzes along, shifts fine between gears, smooth rideJust serviced, always regularly cared for, oil change and tune up complete this weekMost everything works (except the radio)All original stock It was sideswiped while parked a couple years ago which dented the driver's door, still opens and closes just fine but needs reshaping to fix the contours of the body if you're restoring. Registration expired in 2011, needs new tabs/renewal. I've had it in the garage since 2010, started up regularly and driven around the blocks but it's been resting.
