You are bidding on an original numbers-matching 1972 Corvette Stingray. This car is the garage equivalent of a "barn find," having been placed into long-term indoor storage in 1998 due to a leaking fuel tank. The car is straight, honest, and original other than one old repaint from the original 946 Elkhart Green to white. Never wrecked, the body shows the factory bonding seams as expected. The grilles are perfect. The interior is in very good original condition with no modifications; dash is perfect, gauges clear and working, upholstery original and nice. Not perfect, but very nice. Options include power windows (they work), power steering, power brakes, dual outside chrome sport mirrors, tilt and telescoping steering column, 350 4-barrel engine, and Turbo 400 transmission. The engine is completely unmolested and still features its original factory intake and exhaust manifolds, carburetor, tach-drive distributor, air cleaner, and ignition shielding. Clean chassis, no rust issues. It starts at the first turn of the key, and runs well. I've gone through the brakes and rebuilt the calipers, cleared the lines and master, and filled & bled the system. It is not a driver; it needs a new fuel tank and sending unit (factory hardware and spare tire & carrier present), and the expected minor TLC associated with an older vehicle. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get into a great vintage C3, restore it at your own pace, and still be right-side up when finished.
