Vehicle Detail
1970 Chevy nova This is a 1970 Chevy Nova that I drive daily. It's a inline 6 250 with automatic trans. The list of new parts goes on and on but to say the least, I replaced what it needed to be a safe daily driver and added a few extra thing to make it a little more comfortable and nicer to drive. It gets looks everywhere we drive it and always a looker at shows. The paint is a real hot rod satin black, not a spray paint job. The engine runs nice and strong and has a list of new parts to make it reliable. The transmission is a rare manual shift automatic only offered in a few 6 cylinder novas for a few years. Brakes and suspension have been gone through and I believe that mechanically this Nova doesn't need anything. Clean rust free partially restored daily driven Chevy Nova. New Cmirror New front bumper , rear is in good shape New brakes with new rubber lines New Ball joint New control arm bushings New steering joints New Shocks in the front New sway bar and bushings New ignition wires, cap, rotor and spark plugs Rebuilt carburetor with new chrome filter New fuel pump and fuel filter New Distributor New Carpet Kit with sound eliminator Por15 Rust Treatment on the floor and trunk THERE IS NO RUST ON THE CAR AT ALL. I REPAIRED EVERY LITTLE PIN HOLE OF RUST THEN PAINTED EVERYTHING WITH PO15 BLACK PAINT New Grant wheel New cd/mp3 player Clean title in my NAME Current Registration I have a bunch of pictures I can email you if interested NO TRADES Clean Title IN MY NAME Current Registration IN MY NAME I have many more pictures of the engine build, carpet and floor restoration and so on. If you would like to talk or look at the car, you can email me and I will give you my phone number to talk. Here's a little info on the transmission and engine combo that people are asking about. The station wagon and hardtop sport coupe were discontinued, the former in line with an industry trend which left AMC the only American maker of compact station wagons until Chrysler rejoined the market in 1976 (the 1966-70 Ford Falcon wagon was actually a midsize, using a bodyshell identical to the Fairlane wagon's). One notable change was the front subframe assembly — as compared with Ford, Chrysler and AMC, in whose cars the entire front suspension was integrated with the bodyshell, a separate subframe housing the powertrain and front suspension (similar to the front part of the frame of GM's full-size, full-framed vehicles) replaced the earlier style. Although the front subframe design was unique for the Nova, the Camaro introduced a year earlier was the first to incorporate such a design; the redesigned Nova was pushed a year ahead to 1968 instead of 1967. The sales brochure claimed 15 powertrain choices for coupes and a dozen for sedans. Options included power brakes and steering, Four-Season or Comfort-Car air conditioning, rear shoulder belts, and head restraints. There were a few Chevrolet Novas built with the 194 ci(3.1 L). The same motor that had been used in the previous generations of the Chevy II. Sales of the 1969 Chevy Nova fell by half. Chevrolet dropped the Chevy II portion of its compact car's name; it was now known simply as the Chevrolet Nova. The 153 cu in (2.51 L) four-cylinder engine was offered between 1968 and 1970, then was dropped due to lack of interest (besides its other usage in the Jeep DJ-5A a.k.a. the Postal Jeep) and to clear the field for the Vega. Far more popular were the 250 cu in (4.1 L) six-cylinder and the base 307 cu in (5.03 L) V8, which replaced the 283 cu in (4.64 L) V8 offered in previous years. At mid-year, a semi-automatic transmission based on the Powerglide called the Torque-Drive (RPO MB1) was introduced as a low-cost option (~$100 less than the Powerglide) for clutchless motoring. The Torque-Drive transmission was only offered with the four and six-cylinder engines. The two-speed Powerglide was still the only fully automatic transmission available with most engines, as the more desirable three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic was only available with the largest V8 engines. On Nov-28-12 at 09:29:31 PST, seller added the following information: Do to the fact that there's a bunch of flakes and fakes on ebay and I am tired of dealing with them, if you are NEW or HAVE NO FEEDBACK you must contact me first or I will have to cancel your bid. I am very sorry to sound like a ASS but ebay is a joke and people are treating it as that. If you like the Nova and plan on bidding on it, I would assume you would want to talk and get as much info as you could anyway. So with that said, if you are NEW just call me so I know you are not a fake. 408 857 4612 Elvis
