Vehicle Detail

Too many projects force sale of this barn find 1969 ruby red CD175. I bought it from an individual dealer from St Louis, Mo. in Oct 2008 owner. I have not done anything to the bike so it is 100% original and un-restored. Engine turns over and gears click through easily. Motorcycle needs a thorough clean up as, I was told, it was left in a storage shed after years of being towed around behind a trailer home. Unless someone wants to restore it to show condition, the ruby red paint all around is in great condition and should shine back up after a good cleaning and polishing. The front and rear fenders are also in great condition and I did not detect any crack or damage. I am not familiar with CD175 original painting scheme but maybe like the CB77 Superhawk, it seems the silver paint of the fenders did not clear coated by Honda for shine. Please expect pitting and light surface rust on chrome and metal parts. Original tires are cracked. They hold air but the front tire Iooses air faster than the rear. I did not check but I am pretty sure there is gas gumming in tank and in carburetor. There is crack on one side of the plastic headlight bucket where signal stem is attached. Rubber cushion of handle bar has probably deteriorated because handle bar is a bit loose. There is no ding or dent on exhaust header pipe or mufflers but there is light surface rust on headers and light pitting on muffler chrome. The bottoms of the mufflers are solid. The seat foam is solid. The seat is not deformed and looks like it has been sit on for a couple of thousand miles but age has taken its toll on the vinyl so there are fading and a few tears. I parked the bike ever since I got it at the same spot in my basement and I do not see any oil drop stain on the cement floor. Every now and then I foot cranked the engine to keep internal engine components moving. It was delightful to see the original and complete set of tool still tucked inside the left side cover. The tool bag is in excellent condition and has no tear. If the BIN is hit, a brand new Clymer's 125-200cc Twins 1965-1978 repair manual will be included. I have the sale receipt from the individual dealer. I also have the original title from the State of Missouri dated 06/04/69. On the back of the title, the original owner has signed with a notary public seal. The dealer also signed and had my name listed on the re-assignment. I do not have time to go and get the title re-assigned to me so the bike will be sold with a Bill of Sale and all the papers I afore mention. The bike is being sold with no warranty, as-is and must be picked up where-is at my residence address. I can keep the bike stored in my basement up to 30 days after the bid ends. Non-refundable deposit of $300 must be paid via PAYPAL within 48 hours from end of bid. The balance must be paid via bank 's cashier check or money order within seven (7) days) from end of bid. I will not release title or bike until my bank confirms the money is in my account.
