Vehicle Detail
This listing is for an All Original 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger 2 Door Coupe 318 V8 Vintage Automobile with Very Low Original Miles. 5-Day Listing This vehicle was purchased a few years ago from it's original owner. It is a California car. It had been kept garaged until then and had approximately 40,000 miles on it at the time we purchased it. The elderly gentleman that sold it was responsible for the right-side body damage due to a miscalculation upon exiting his garage (more details to follow). Aside from that it was in pristine condition, inside & out. Since that purchase there has been some additional wear to the faces of the front seat-backs (see photos). Other than those few spots of separation, the seats are all in great shape. The carpet on the front passenger side has also encountered some grunge, but is all fully intact and could be cleaned &/or covered by mats. Overall condition is as follows: Exterior / Body: The right-side hits are isolated to the front fender and the rear quarter-panel. Deck lid is not effected, nor is the hood. The right-side door was not impacted, but there are a few minor dings in that. There is also a minor crunch on the very end of the left-side fin from a different incident. The tail-light cover under that spot is missing a small piece (about 2") of the far left edge. All other are in fine condition. The rest of the body is very straight. Other than a few superficial scuffs the original paint job is in exceptional condition. The heavy chrome bumpers are perfect and the chrome is in excellent condition. The white vinyl top is also in exceptional condition. It is 100% fully intact and not dried-out. It's pretty clean as is, but could be made even more pristine with a little elbow grease. The glass is all intact, no chips or cracks. The grill is also in perfect condition. Tires are good. Interior: As previously mentioned, aside from some grunge on the front passenger side carpet and the separations in a few spots in the vinyl on the seat-backs, the interior is in cherry condition. Headliner is fully intact and looks great. Entire dashboard is excellent and the upper vinyl is entirely free of cracks. Door panels are also fully intact and look great. The vinyl mat in the truck is a bit torn up, but it is otherwise fine in there as well. It is currently covered with a nice, clean moving pad. Mechanical: The car is running great (and like a bat-out-of-hell). Everything is working properly, with 3 minor exceptions. 1) The turn indicator holds in place when turning right, but not when turning left. It will still activate the signal light, but doesn't stay clicked in place to the left. 2) The driver-side door handle push-in mechanism isn't pushing the the actuator all the way down. It just needs to go about 1/16th of an inch further. I have open the door panel to take a look and I think it's a hinge issue. The small lever between the outside button and the push rod inside needs some attention. Any way you slice it, it's very minor. 3) The engine fires right up, but the kick-down idle takes longer than it should to drop the rpm's. I've been told by our mechanic that it just needs some minor carb work. Aside from these little items, everything is fully functional. Tranny is solid. Engine runs great. All electrical is functioning. A/C blows cold. Original factory AM radio & it's speakers operates as it was built to, blasting loud & clear. Work that we've done: New high performance double roller and gear-set timing chain / New high performance Mopar distributor & ignition box / New master cylinder / New battery / New belts / Rear end service / Complete A/C overhaul Title: Clear, with zero issues. California smog requirements: none CALIFORNIA REGISTRATION IS CURRENT THROUGH SEPTEMBER, 2013. AGAIN, THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT FOR SMOG INSPECTIONS ON THIS YEAR VEHICLE. 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger2 Door Coupe318 CID / 5.2L V8 EngineAutomatic Transmission71,582 Original Miles If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them.
