1966 Pontiac GTO hardtop number matching, 4 barrel, adjusted tilt steering and brakes. burgundy with black interior, no air, odometer reads 90,100, This vehicle has the Pontiac historical society documentation identified this car as a code 24217. The last 14 years of receipt and restoration are included in the car. Carter 4661 Power glide 2 speed column mounted automatic transmission. 3.23 rear end. Rally 1 wheels and red line tires. OEM rating of 335 horsepower with 431 pounds of tork. Interior: The parchment interior was replaced years ago with correct black (223 interior) and looks correct. All pieces fit and looks factory installed. You would not know it was born parchment had I known told. Original walnut veneer dash. Insert is in great shape with only 1 small blemish. Wood steering wheel is new and correct. Radio is original unit that was sent off years ago for updating. It now has sold state pioneer guts radio that sounds modern, but is in vintage correct original frame/body. Pioneer front and rear speakers are installed and undetectable by the eye as modern. Sounds pretty good actually should you choose music over exhaust note. Column shift automatic was replaced with brand steering column with tilt. Shifter was moved to the floor and an aftermarket B&M fake manual shifter installed. B&M design that looks like a manual but operates as a 3 speed automatic. A new correct white 4 speed knob finishes it off. Looks correct works even better. Seating is black vinyl and in correct great shape. Carpet is correct and in great shape. Headliner too. All chrome in emblems are correct and in great shape. Paint is the correct code in burgundy. It was repainted prior to 1997 and in great condition, but needs paint. The car has some flaws. It's a drivers car not a trailer car. Exterior chrome is perfect along with the bumpers. Door handles are very nice. Car has 4 wheel drum brakes with power steering and power brakes. Engine is a 389 matching numbers with factory installed engine. However the intake in carburetor are long gone. Rebuilt was completed in 1997. Drive train has a 3 speed turbo 350 automatic.
