1979 Mercedes-Benz 280EHello and thanks for checking out my auction. On eBay today is a really nice and solid RUST FREE West Coast 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E. This is a gasoline powered car for those out there wondering. It has an automatic transmission and power windows and a manual sunroof. The air conditioning does not blow cold. It is almost all stock except for the radio.. Even the hubcaps are original. I just had it totally repainted because some of the clearcoat was turning white. Now it looks beautiful again. The interior is very clean and nice with very little wear evident. The seats are all nice and the carpet is good too. The passenger rear window is slow to go up but still works and the others all work normally. The car runs well and has has had a lifetime of service around Portland. It starts easily and purrs down the highway at any legal speed. It does not smoke or drip more than a spot of oil on ocation. The speedometer works, but the odometer has stopped turning over. Because of this I have no way to determine the actual miles of this car. I have used the car personally for 6 months. During that time I have really enjoyed it. It has also been used in a few photo shoots around Portland. Everybody loves it and so will the new owner. This is a safe, dependable, clean, and nice vintage Mercedes. It is not a new Honda. These cars all require a relationship with a Mercedes specialty mechanic shop. They are known to run for hundreds and hundreds of thousands of miles if cared for properly.
