Vehicle Detail

Dale Earnhardt Buggy Here it is... The legend of the legend. This car is also a mystery, it has appeared in the past on Ebay. At one time, it sold for $28,000 It's true history is unknown to me. many people are aware, that Dale Earnhardt had a Corvair powered Buggy. This could be it, but I have no proof or documentation to back it. I know it was from Ohio, then Texas, then here in Utah. It may just be a "Tribute Car" Thus the mystery. I purchased it from a collector who had all kinds of exotic cars. who was then indited by the feds for a ponsi scheme, and his collection was sold off by the U.S. Marshalls. It is a rare car, and in excellent condition. It turns heads and is a lot of fun! It is titled as a 1967 Dune Buggy from the state Of Utah with a Vin # assigned to it. I put 1967 too keep it outside of emission requirements. I do know that the Bounty Hunter was made around 1968-1975. Many think it is a Deserter or a Marauder GT But after much research, I believe it to be a Bounty Hunter with a Marauder Gt top. A lot of work has gone into this buggy the paint is phenominal! a mirror image Peter Max paint scheme. bucket seats with 4-point harness belts, nice Weld wheels with BFG tires, A peppy Corvair 6 cylinder engine with a 4 barrel carburator, married to a VW transaxle. It has cutter brakes for those power turns...probably why it has the harness belts. All the lights, signals and horn work, brakes feel good. The car needs to be driven, maybe dial in the carburation or fine tune, yet, runs strong. So be part of the Legend and get this cool car! It belongs in a show room or museum, but I'm sure it will look great in your garage. Feel free to call me for any questions you may have at 801-718-4329 Lyle Thanks for looking
