Vehicle Detail

Pro-Touring 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Up for bid is a 69 Camaro RS/SS recreation. The car was featured in the Chevy Enthusiast Magazine in November of 2010 under 'Bright, in Sight and Lit Right' for the installation article of United Pacific Industries LED Taillights. A lot of pride and hard work went into the restoration of the car and we hope that you will enjoy the car as much as we have. If you have any questions on the description below or want to ask any questions on anything that I've missed; feel free to call me at (808)-936-4355 or email me at umedevelopment@yahoo.com. I'd be happy to talk story about the car and answer any questions. BODY:Saw the car roll out of a friends paint booth and instantly fell in love with the body lines and had to have it. Bought the car and immediately took down the new black paint, yes, we sanded down the brand new black paint down to the epoxy primer and then refinished the car using PPG's paint code 744 - Mercedes AMG Brilliant Silver. Everyone has black camaro and the Brilliant Silver really pops and gives a classy look, high end look to the car. In purchasing the car and talking with the Auto Body owner initially; this is a very clean car with all original panels in great shape. The floors are terrific along with the trunk. A new spoiler was added along with the steel 2" cowl induction hood. The idea behind the build was to clean up the car and highlight the sleekness of the 69. The gill trims were removed, the marker lights removed and the emblems were removed and as you can see in the pictures; at least in my opinion, the car is sleek, clean and really shines. APPEARANCE:Aside from the shinny silver paint; the car features the RS conversion headlight assembly which runs electrically as compared to factory vacuum cars which means the doors actually open and open simultaneously which is nice. The RS package is the most desired of the 69 camaros and is probably classified as one of the nicest GM cars of the 60's. New door handles were installed, new windshield moldings, new rear window moldings, new drip rail moldings, new lock cylinders, new bumpers, new parking lamps and new LED United Pacific Industries tail lights. BRAKES:Spindle drop assembly with hotchkis coil springs running cross drilled and slotted rotors front and rear. The rear disc brake conversion is matching to the front which gives good braking without having to put two feet on the pedal all the way to the floor hoping it will stop. New calipers and brake pads were installed along with new brake lines front to rear. New master cylinder and brake booster was also added to complete the brake system. WHEELS:Boyd Coddington Crown Jewels front and rear. The fronts are 18x7's with 4" backspacing running Bridgestone Potenza 235/45/18 tires and the rear feature 18x8's with 4.5" backspacing on 255/40/18s. DRIVETRAIN:GM 350 engine - engine code 3970010mild cam - don't know the specifics on the duration and lift but the car runs very good with no problems in overheating, missing, etc. Upgraded HEI distributor with NGK spark plugsNew MSD spark plug wiresNew Edelbrock tall profile Valve CoversNew Edelbrock matching BreathersNew Ball Milled Air CleanerEdelbrock Fuel Pump - mechanicalFull Long Tube Ceramic Coated Headers3" dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 series MufflersTurbo 350 transmission B&M Pro-Rachet Shifter assembly10 Bolt Rear End with 3:73 gearsNEW Braided lines for fuel from the tank to the carbNew fuel tank with new sending unitPower steering unit for easy turningNew engine belts with polished pulleysPolished 1 wire alternatorNew engine fanNew polished aluminum Radiator Shroud The motor runs good and sounds good with no issues.
