Offered for sale is a VERY RARE 1989 BMW 325iX FOUR WHEEL DRIVE with just 140,000 original miles. In absolutely EXCELLENT condition for it's year and age. They only made approximately 29,589 units of this 325iX from 1986 to 1991 (the 325iX was imported into the U.S. for model years '88-'91 only) Drive Train: All-Wheel-Drive (BMW choose a ratio of 37/63% front to rear because this corresponds to the weight distribution on each axle under full acceleration.) As much as 90 percent of the torque may be shifted to the front or rear as required. 4.10:1 gearing front and rear, there are two limited-slip Ferguson-type viscous couplings; one behind the transmission splits torque front to rear and one in the rear differential. The drive system adds only 145lbs to the vehicle and is very reliable. Front Differential Fluid Capacity 0.7 Liters. Rear Differential Fluid Capacity 1.7 Litres.
