Vehicle Detail
1965 FORD MUSTANG Up for Sale is a 1965 Mustang coupe. I purchased the car 8 years ago from the second owner. The car was used as a daily driver for several years until recently. Now its on a non-op status so there are no back DMV fees. The car retains its original 289 engine but has headers and an aluminum intake manifold with a holly 4bbl. carburetor. The motor was supposedly rebuilt by the previous owner but I received no paperwork to document it. The car runs fine but has an oil leak at the drain plug. I have a good oil pan but it need to be installed, otherwise the engine is fine. I upgraded the pony's brakes with Willwood disc brake kit and and adjustable proportioning valve. The interior has been mostly redone with recent carpet headliner door panels and arm rests. The dash pad has been replaced and is not cracked or warped. The front bucket seats have been redone along with new seat foam. The rear seat is in good condition and is original. The car has console and still has its original steering wheel. The radio is missing. I was going to put an am/fm CD player in it but haven't had the time (included with the car). The heater box has been rebuilt with a new heater core and defroster ducts. The Mustang is a original California black plate car and is very solid. The floors trunk and rocker panels are in great shape and are rock solid. The car also has its original quarter as well as all other panels with the exception of the drivers fender and front valance. The front bumper is new and still in the wrapping along with several other parts for the car. Including tail light bezels and an original antenna. The car has 16" after market wheels with good tires. 205/50/16 in front and 225/55/16 in the rear. The rear leaf spring have been replace because the tires were hitting the wheel wells and I didn't want to roll the wells. The plan was to repaint the car but it never happened. The car was originally wimbledon white but the second owner painted it red in the early 80's and is quite faded now. The car originally came with a black vinyl top which has been removed. The driver door tag is still present and reads body 65A, color M, trim 26, date 14A, DSO 71 , Axle 6, trans 6. The car need a paint job and some other work but is a nice solid car. The car is available for local inspection. Shipping is the responsibility buyer. A $200 non refundable deposit is required via paypal with in 24 hours after the auction ends and the balance is due via cash, cashiers check or bank transfer prior to the car being picked up. The car is almost 60 years old and has no warranty of any kind. I am sure I have left out a few thing out so please ask question if you have any concerns. On Nov-18-12 at 08:28:11 PST, seller added the following information: The car start and runs and stops just fine but has not been driven in the last 1 1/2 years. There is no rust on the floors, trunk, quarter panels, cowl, frame rails, rocker panel, hood, trunk, window channels or shock towers. There is some surface rust starting where the paint is getting thin. There is also a small rust spot on the door that I had forgoten all about, sorry. The car has a low reserve. There is no buy it now price and will sell to the high bidder. Bidders with less than 10 feedback need to contact me prior to bidding or your bid will be canceled. Thanks for looking at my car, hope it finds a good home.
