Vehicle Detail

HERE IS AN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 1969 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX MODEL J THAT IS LOADED WITH RARE FACTORY POWER OPTIONS AND IS IN NEARLY SHOWROOM CONDITION. TURN-KEY AND READY TO CRUISE ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY! Please e-mail me with questions or to set up an inspection to see the car in person. Vehicle came out of Pennsylvania. I purchased it in Carlisle, PA from this fellow that owned the car for a few years and did a ton of work on it. Started out as a very original survivor in excellent shape and has received NEW PAINT (professionally done and very straight and shiny). Vehicle was sanded down to bare metal and professionally repainted with PPG quality base/clear (7 coats of clear) metallic paint. Original 100,320 miles on the car. Comes with original WINDOW STICKER outlining every option for the car. Believe me when I say this, I've seen SJ and SSJ models without this many options! Body is VERY STRAIGHT with excellent original gaps. Doors open and close flawlessly. I don't think you'll find a nicer car for the money than this one! OPTIONS: Power steering Power DISC front brakes Power windows Power remote trunk release (very rare and working perfectly!) Rear defogger Remote Mirror Tilt steering column Air conditioning (parts under hood removed) 400ci 4bbl. V8 Motor (UPGRADED with RAM AIR 3 performance camshaft) Automatic transmission Bucket seat interior Dual exhaust 14" Pontiac Rally II wheels with PMD caps and white letter radial tires Cordova top (removed obviously) Heavy duty air cleaner Soft ray tinted glass Push-button radio (upgraded to CD stereo) Rear seat speaker Special order paint In dash clock Under the hood lies the original MATCHING NUMBERS 400ci/350hp 4V V8 (code "XH") with added Ram Air 3 performance camshaft. This car also has the RARE FACTORY PONTIAC HEADERS from what I was told (SEE PICTURE). Mechanically it fires right up and sounds great along with the nice and throaty exhaust system. Transmission is solid and shifts good through all the gears without any noises or grinding. I drove the car 200+ miles home when I bought it and it drove nearly brand new!!!. You can cruise with it on the highway all day at 65mph and I would trust it to drive anywhere at the drop of a hat. Interior is basically ALL ORIGINAL other than the upgraded radio, and aftermarket gauges you see. Beautiful shape overall with one small cut on lower cushion of driver's seat. Overall beautifully presentable for a driver. Virtually EVERYTHING on this car works (with the exception of the clock that works on/off and the A/C that has been disconnected, I do not have the parts). Underside has a SOLID frame. Floorboards are excellent throughout. Very solid trunk pan. As nice as you can get in an original car that has had one repaint. The old girl is NOT perfect by any means of course so please keep that in mind when bidding. Paint is in beautiful shape throughout, other than a handful of what looks like air bubbles on the hood towards the windshield base and a few tiny bubbles at the front corner of the driver's door from what I noticed while i've had it. Bumpers should be rechromed as they are original and pitted throughout. So overall she is not perfect and will need some form of TLC depending on how nice you want it to be and what you plan to do with the car. Please note, I cannot remember every single issue with the car, nor do I know everything wrong with it, as it is after all over 40 years old so keep that in mind. If you just want a GREAT LOOKING AND VIRTUALLY RUST-FREE HIGH-END TURN-KEY DRIVER then this is the car for you. If you want a show car, it will need some work to bring it up to that level of course. I ENCOURAGE ANYONE BIDDING OR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED TO COME LOOK AT IT IN PERSON. I WILL BE GLAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU TOP TO BOTTOM SO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE GETTING INTO.
