For Sale is a 1981 Toyota 2WD standard cab, short bed, 5 speed pickup with the famous 22R motor. Recently restored to be a daily driver, not show quality but a quality rebuild for everyday use. It is a rust free vehicle with a solid frame. Has current Pennsylvania strict inspection. Frame was patched and has a new cross member where the rear shocks attach. New rocker panels installed along with rear cab corners and rear cab mounts. Floor patches were welded in and fiberglassed over for reinforcement. All rust repair was sealed and undercoated. Bed was reconstructed and roll on bedliner installed. 2 new front fenders installed, one was OEM and the other was an aftermarket fender. On the inside, truck has new rubber floor with pad, dash cover, steering bezzel cover, and windshield gasket. Has a cheapo walmart stereo and speakers behind the seat. Truck runs great. Previous owner had some motor work done by a performance mechanic in california with K&N filters and other perfomance mods. Has great power for a 4 cylinder with 22+ miles per gallon around town. I also added helper springs and bigger shackles to the rear leaf springs to add a little payload and restore some ride height (about 3 inches). 2 items of concern: dent in tailgate beside one of the tailgate latches, one rear drum brake hangs up once in a while. Was told that the parking breaks sometimes stick with these trucks and that it probably just needs lubricated. That's it, after a year of driving after the restoration, no problems just toyota dependability. Buyer responsible for shipment. New lower reserve price. Had the parking brake adjusted by my mechanic and that seems to have corrected the brake hanging up. Truck is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end auction early.
