1988 CHEVROLET CAPRICE 9C1 POLICE INTERCEPTOR 350 Welcome to my auction.. I am selling a American Classic, 1988 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 Police Interceptor otherwise known as a "Box Chevy" I am the third owner of this great car, I have treated it with the upmost respect and care, it has been great to me and now it can be of service to you. The motor which starts up on a dime and idles like a sewing machine, was rebuilt about 55k miles after I bought the vehicle, I have owned it a few years and only drove it locally to school and to run errands. To even go beyond the amount of miles I belive to have put on it I will say I've put 5k miles on the car when in reality its more like 2k to 2.5k miles, in which time ive done many upgrades to the car because I am a ASE certified mechanic of 15 yrs and I am the type who always love to blow money on my cars... Which is your gain my loss...In addition the 700r4 tranny was freshly rebuilt right before the car was sold to me and shifts smoothly and firmly without issue I would say it has atleast 100,000 miles plus left to it. The body is solid which is attributed to the fact that this car has lived only in California and Florida (snow salt free zones), and is not a rust bucket. Essentially, I have two other cars and too many other projects goin on, in addition to school and a growing family to dedicate the time, money, and effort in to this car. But its a excellent foundation for anyone who wants to take it to the next level or just enjoy it how it is...
