Has been rebuilt 3 years ago and kept in dry storage from this time. It past its yearly test last month with no advisories. The Ford 2.5 direct diesel injection engine runs very smooth and let's this machine do 80 mph. A rare beauty that will give a lot of pleasure and neck twisters. THIS MACHINE WILL DO 80MPH!…….. IN A STRAIGHT LINE! (If the wind is right) CHASSIS No welding has ever been carried out and none required, under sealed. chassis and cross members are foam filled to stop rot from the inside. FRONT SPRINGS Replaced with parabolic springs. BODY No bad body work (couple of dings), complete professional re- spray, all the cavities have been foam filled including door posts and bulkhead, Floor well, like new. DOORS All 5 doors and hinges replaced with brand new, the two front doors have had the frames filled with foam including door tops. It would be a good idea to do the other 3 as it stops the frames rotting from the inside. ENGINE Replaced with 2.5L Transit diesel. With oil cooler and Kenlow electric fan. Direct injection Starts before the key is fully turned! GEARBOX Replaced with the Higher ratio gearbox from the 6 cylinder land rover Fairy overdrive and freewheeling hubs. REAR FUEL TANK. Replaced with brand new one. BIT AND PIECES. Full rear step, Steps on all 4 side doors Pin and ball towing bracket. Upgraded window rubbers on all 4 doors. Rear spotlights (reverse) All 4 wheel arches have had false aluminium inner arches fitted so no water is thrown onto the chassis at any point. Leather front seats. Spare wheel plus cover. Full set of black Land rover carpets and soundproofing, including the back.. THERE ARE NO OIL LEAKS BAD BITS Inner head lights not working (probably a bad earth) Electric seats work if you join the wires (need switches) Dent on rear offside panel, I have replaced the galvanized edging but not had time to sort the dent. The original speedometer was replaced at when it read 59000 miles with one showing 94000 miles it was the only one I could get hold of that matched the higher ratio gearbox. It’s obvious the land rover has not done the millage on the speedo, the overall condition is too good. I removed the 3 rear cross seats and replaced them with 2 more comfortable ones, also removed the rear bench seats I still have all of them and they will go with the Landover if required.
