Vehicle Detail
1969 Chevy El Camino clear title, NOT salvaged. hat runs and drives very well. I bought this with the hope to restore but have since gotten other projects. It has current registration and clear California Title. I drove it from California to Nevada when i bought it. It looks like its an original California car. I drove it on the highway for over 200 miles, it was 4 hour drive from California to Nevada. Ran perfectly up the sierras with no problems. Drives like a cadillac, tranny shifts very smoothly. From what I can tell it has the original 350 / 350 engine and tranny. Im confident it can drive cross country. These 350's are bullet proof. Doesnt smoke, knock or ping. Very strong motor. My reserve is very low due to body not being very good. My reserve is in line for the value of just the drive train and chassis. It has rust in your usual spots for a 1969 el camino, but this particular el camino has lots of rust through on the roof. The roof would definitely need to be replaced for restoration. I was going to put a sun roof so it wasnt a big deal for me. Reolacement sheet metal for roof is very inexpensive through truck shop mail order, $200. The front bumper, grill and headligths are off a 72 el camino. It has some rust through in the bed by the rear wheel fender wells, easily repairable. It needs lots of attention on the body. The door panels are removed but do come with the car. This el camino is a very good project to restore. Dont let this one go by. I also have a video of it running and driving that i can email. I have a rebuilt 283 V8 from an impala that i was going to drop into this that i can sell with el camino if you are interested, but like i said the 350 is very strong. I was going to rebuild that 350 just so it would last another 30 plus years. The last picture with the 283 painted chevy orange is the 283 i can sell if your interested. I will sell that motor to the winning buyer through ebay for an extra $700. Please email me if you have any questions. Thanks
