For auction is a 1973 Land Rover Series III. Safari Top, Rear hitch, Rear bench seats, Swing out spare tire carrier, Spare tire hood mount, Snorkle, Free wheeling hubs, Bfg MT Tires, Wing top shovel mount. This is an actual truck that has been on Safari in Africa as part of the "Vintage Rover Across Africa - Drive The Globe" The truck is solid from the frame, engine and tranny. I gave it a fresh tune-up and installed a brand new carb. It starts right up first touch of the key. I have a bin of extra parts that will be included with the sale. There are some things that you may want to tinker with like the blinkers, the gas guage, and minor brake work(pulls to the right when braking) All simple things but I wanted to make you aware.There are bumps and bruises and the headliner has been removed, but it adds alot of character to the truck. I would leave it as is. It has a story. I have documentation of prior repairs, new rear cross member, gear box......i have a folder that goes with the truck As well as a full LandRover service manual the Big Binder. The truck runs out very well and seems to have alot more power than others I have owned in the past. Drives straight down the road and steering is good. tire tread is great. A great truck to keep as is and drive or a nice candidate to strip down and restore. I will entertain early offers or possibly partial trades.
