Up for auction I have a recent Barn find , A 1969 early Meyers Manx II Original Gelcoat on a 1965 volks chasis with transferable New York state Regestration document, No title in New york state before 1972 . Well this is an early Manx II with ID badge : Serial # A0116G922E Which Means this is a very early Manx 2 - later Manx 2s had only 4 didget ID tag A - means Bruce Meyers was still with the company 016 - means it is the 16 th Manx 2 made of 250 they started with a 1 in front of the other #s G-july month made 9- 1969 year made 22E - Cold Fire - MEYERS MANX METALFLAKE Color Code -VERY RARE COLOR Well I will begin again by saying this is an original Manx 2 in original gelcoat, body has very few drill holes , body has a few small chips on driver side panel where you hop in,one is about 2 inches long ,then another about 3 inches long and then another about 2 inches long ,can be fixed by boat repair gelcoat service or yourself ,then there is a small chip in back rear fender , gelcoat is very nice for forty something years old , most Manxes have been repainted. Can use a nice base of Clear Coat and will be Super! Small hole in flat area of back seat wear battery cable went through ,other than that very solid Body and when the Sun hits the Metalflake really Shines! Has reinforcing tubes only on Manx 1s and early manx 2s Comes with rare matching original Gelcoat Sidepods Floor pans are original and very solid some surface rust up front bywheel fire wall NEW GAS TANK link-pin front end swing axel rear Corvair 140 hp Reverse Rotation Motor that is hooked up to a VW transmission and has a Weiland Adapter Plate Car has been sitting so i do not know if the engine RUNS or is Stuck i have not tried to start it So CAR IS BEING SOLD AS A NON -RUNNING CAR -AS IS - NO WARRANTY BUGGY HAS CRAGER RIMS WITH 4 NEW Kelly Charger Radial tires still has blue over the white lettering 6s in front and wide 10s in back Tranny switches in gears and body does roll ABS DASH IS SHOT - will need a new dash has old style metal stearing column HAS ORIGINAL NOSE BADGE ON FRONT WITH EARLY MANX 1 HOOD ALSO HAVE A REAR MANX BADGE THAT WILL GO WITH IT WITH THE 6 PINS I have not yet registerd this manx with WINNIE MEYERS, YET BUT SPOKE TO HER AND GAVE HER VIN # and she confirmed it was a NEW FIND and a very rare color SO YOU CAN HAVE IT REGISTERED IN YOUR NAME !
