Vehicle Detail

Hello, This is a 1972 MGB GT for sale. This car has been gone through here in our shop. We are EAU CLAIRE BRITISH CAR. We are a small British sports car restoration and service shop located in Eau Claire WI. Occasionally we get cars in for resale such as this MGB/GT. This car belonged to a elderly couple in Minnesota who hadn't been using the car much for the last few years. We went through the car to make it safe/roadworthy and perform like it should. The following is a list of parts that were replaced. Front brake calipersFront brake hosesFront brake rotors (Brembo Brand) Brake Master cylinderNew Front Grille (Vertical Slate type)New front bumperChoke CableBonnet release cable Rear brake linesRear brake hoseLucas fuel pump and rubber fuel linesBattery Air filtersBreaker Points, rotor and plug wiresRebuilt exhaust system (Used Monza exhaust)Carburetors rebuiltEmergency brake cableCourtesy lightHeadlight SwitchPioneer CD player with USB and Flashcard portUsed Pioneer speakers Oil and filterRepacked front wheel bearingComplete tune up including valve adjustmentCheck all fluids/top off Complete flush of brake systemFlush the fuel tankNew fuel filterAdded fuel pressure regulator The car runs and drives excellent. The odometer shows around 02700 miles which we have no way of knowing if this is correct. It is most likely 102732 or the odometer was reset when the prior work was done. The vehicle has been repainted (original factory red) and the upholstery was redone at some point in the past. It appears to be a custom job and is very nice with extra foam padding added in certain area's. The original dash is not cracked and is in original condition (no plastic overlay) The paint job is nice but not perfect, there are no dents or major nicks in the paint. However there are a few very small chips and marks mostly from being stored. That being said the car is VERY show-able. The rocker panels had been replaced and any rust removed and repaired very nicely. We did a compression test on the engine and all cylinders were at or near 135 LBS (Within 5 Lbs). All lights and electrical switches work! The car does NOT leak oil. Which is unusual for any MG in general . Oil pressure runs around 60-65 LBS cold and will drop to around 30-35 Lbs at idle when fully warmed up. Runs around 55 Lbs at road speed. The transmission shifts great with no noises or weak syncro problems. The differential also is tight with no weird noises. The brakes stop the car straight and the E-brake works as it should. Feel free to stop by the shop and drive the car you will not be disappointed. We have serviced and restored many MGB's over the years we've been in business and this car runs and drives with the best of them! So bid with confidence! This car is ready to be enjoyed immediately...it needs nothing other than a new owner! There is one small issue we haven't resolved and that is that we were not given the key for the door locks. We are checking into this with the local Locksmith. Clear Minnesota title. Call Steve for more details 715-456-1174.
