1978 Honda CB750 Bobber $1.00 starting bid, no reserve and no buy it now. High bidder at end of auction wins it. Bike started as a stock 1978 CB750F frame. I went through all of the DMV CHP verifications, bike has a clean California title in my name. The bike is titled as a 1978 Honda CB750, NOT SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION. This makes for affordable insurance and easy to insure too. Tags are current and just paid for 2013 as well. O.K. let me start by saying the bike is reliable, never left me stranded. Where ever you ride people want to talk to you about it, young and old alike. As for what it could use: Front brake pads as they are starting to make some noise. Bike spots oil, nothing crazy but it does...... never bothered chasing down source.Carbs. Although just being rebuilt and synced they still get into a flat spot in the mid range, roll the throttle hard and it clears out. I think that the whole Pod filters and open exhaust thing is the cause of this even though carbs were jetted properly for pods and open exhaust. Roll the throttle wide open and the bike rips, putting around town the bike is fine, just need to work out the mid range thing. Perhaps adding some baffle to the exhaust and possible re jet again might do the trick with the baffles giving the bike some back pressure. Fork seals although new leave a film of oil on tubes after a long ride, who cares. Bottom line this is a home built rigid bobber built to rip around town. It does this fine. Could it use some fine tuning from the new owner ? Yes in my opinion. Could you ride as is ? Again yes in my opinion. Could you make bike run better ? Yes again. Tank and fender have a few chips here and there from normal use. Buy it and keep what you like change what you don't like...... make it your own. Bike sold as is, no warranty expressed or implied. Milage is just a random number plugged into ebay milage field. Milage unknown but motor runs strong and does not smoke. I have tried to be as clear and upfront as possible in describing the bike.
