This is a 1954 1st series Chevy Panel Truck Short Bed. - Rat Rod The truck is a rare find! It is first series which means the last year of the round fenders and the first year of the solid one piece windshield, also the only year for this grill. I have been putting it back together from pieces for quite a while now. It has a 305 small block chevy with edelbrock intake and 4 barrel carb. It has a 350 turbo automatic tranny and a tubbed rear end with 4 link and Mickey Thompson slicks. New Calipers on rear, newish on front, Recent selected bushings replaced as well. The rear end is from a lincoln markV modified and has disc brakes with curry axels. The front end is from a firebird (same as camaro except rotors) not sure what year and all in all it is a sweet truck. The exhaust is pretty new with a discrete dump into the tire wells. The front doors are suicide with poppers and the rear doors are the original barn door style. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this truck and it has been a labor of love, and some pain :) But I have to let it go reluctantly, The known issues are: Rear suspension is squirrelly and needs to be sorted out, currently it has a 4-link with springs and shocks I think switching it back to leaf springs is the way to go. The front door poppers I never finished properly and also need to be sorted out. Mechanically it is sound runs great gets up and goes! Just has always been weird in suspension and that needs to be addressed, with not alot of work this truck will be a show stopper. The body is good condition with some minor issues and the custom made rear bumper is solid, with the original front grill there but it needs some work. But I will not let someone drive it away, though I drive it I will require it be trailered for liability purposes. This is a running vehicle but it will need to be trailered. These are becoming extremely rare and this would make a great hot rod or rat rod. There is clean paperwork for this vehicle.
