Vehicle Detail
A 1964 Pontiac GTO convertible in very good condition. I have had this car since 1981. The car was repainted the original Grenadier Red sometime before I bought it. The convertible top has not been replaced while I've owned it. The pneumatic pistons have been replaced and the top functions properly. The black vinyl convertible top boot is included. A 1964 GM convertible top booklet is in the console. The interior: seats, door panels, carpets, dash and console are original. The bumpers have the original chrome. The engine (heads, pistons, rings, bearings and cam) was rebuilt at 97K miles. The transmission was rebuilt at the same time. The radiator and engine wiring harness have been replaced. The windshield washer nozzles and hoses under the grille panel were missing at the time of purchase. The wiper motor runs very slowly and a new re-manufactured motor is included with the car. All four brakes have been rebuilt. The car has four Coker Classic (P225/75 R14) red line radial tires (virtually new) and the optional wheel covers with spinners. Options include: aluminized exhaust system with chrome splitters, optional imitation wood steering wheel, optional vacuum gauge mounted on console and remotely operated side view mirror. The AM radio has an AM/FM converter mounted in the glove box. The car has been recently inspected. The car has always been garage kept, under a car cover (which is included in the sale). A beautiful car that is fun to drive. Please contact us with any questions prior to bidding. Thank you for your interest and good luck in bidding.
