Vehicle Detail
1968 Ford Bronco. Early Bronco with uncut rear fenders. 302 runs good, daily driver. Dual tanks. All original except Duff shifters and newer motor. Converted from 3 on tree to floor shift. Sport package, which means more chrome. Everything is there, I have trim not shown in pictures. Roof rack and Ramsey PTO winch are rare options.Winch is not installed, but I have all parts. I've owned it for about a year. I don't know the history on the motor, was told it was a newer 302, but it still has points. It has the throttle and choke on the dash. Here's all the things I can think of that's wrong with it. Usual rust in rockers, tailgate, floor pans, cowl, and inside front fenders. Front fenders and front bumper dented, no damage to frame. Emergency brake and gas gauge don't work. Drivers window falls off track. Door seals are shot. Tires are junk. Dual tank switch was moved from switch on dash to lever on floor. Windshield is cracked. I love this little Bronco, and I will miss it, but I need to put money into my woodcarving business more than this truck right now and I haven't had enough disposable income to start fixing it up like I wanted. I've tried to be honest about the condition in pictures and description, it's a beater, but it's a good starting point for any early Bronco restorer, and is relatively unmolested, a barn find, except it was sitting outside at a second home on the side of Mt. Evans at about 10,000' elevation when I found it being used as a hunting rig. This would be a way better project than trying to fix one that's been altered badly and offroaded severely. It's been very reliable in the year I've had it, driven to work every day though only a mile away, all over the local mountain roads and several trips down out of the mountains to Denver and back. Only problems I've had with it was a broken set of points. Only things I've done to it has been plugs, wires, points and some front bushings. I won't remove from auction. If you'd like to see vehicle you can contact me through ebay to make arrangements to come see it. On Oct-26-12 at 09:47:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Just want to add that before I bought this Bronco I looked at a number of them and settled on this one because I felt it was an easier restore than the others. It's the ugliest, and has more patina than any other Bronco listed right now, but the rust was a lot worse over all on many that I looked at. Most had a lot more hidden rust and hidden problems, steering and handling off, not geared properly to pull large tires, attacked with the hacksaw, etc... This one handles and drives well. I didn't do anything to try and make this Bronco look better than it really is. Lot of guys slap on new tires and wheels, spray paint, etc... to make them look good in pictures and you get there and they aren't what you expected. This one's the real deal and I really don't want to sell it, but I need a fork lift and a new transmission in my F350 more than I need a Bronco right now. When I bought this thing I drove it right on up I-70 out of Denver over the Continental Divide through the Eisenhower Tunnel passing new cars on the steepest sections cruising along at 65 no problem at all. Done it several times since and once towing several thousand pounds. If you've ever driven it you know it's a long hard climb.
