Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a very nice 1987 Dodge Charger GLHS. The car is # 706 out of 1000 ever made. The car itself is in really nice shape and only has 60,832 miles. Paint is super nice and has very few flaws! It's very hard to find these cars in nice shape in this day and age! The engine fires right up and runs great! No unusual sounds, no smoke, everything works perfectly! There are alot of modifications done to the engine by Maximum PSI in Linden NJ. I have the receipts for the following mods: Custom Front Mount Intercooler with all tig welded SS IC Piping and Mitsubishi Blow off valve, GM 3 bar Map sensor with FWDP 3 bar calibration and Mopar 52lb. Injectors. Car also has a new oil pressure sender and Power steering hose. Receipts for engine work total over $1,800. The suspension was upgraded with brand new adjustable coil overs which were over $1,000 and have less than 1,000 miles on them. The Manual Transmission shifts as it should. The interior is in fairly nice shape for its age! Check out the pics! The wheels are aftermarket along with the tires (which have over half life left on them) The car has been stored indoors when not driving. No rust issues with this car! The only issue with the car is that the brake master cylinder needs to be replaced as it leaks fluid. The Calipers and pads are fine. Due to the Master cylinder needing replacement the car will have to be trailered. Further information: Shelby GLHS#19871987 Shelby GLHSCarroll Shelby purchased 1,000 of the last Dodge Shelby Chargers and converted them into GLHSs in his facility at Whittier, California. Every single one was built and optioned the same way and all had special badging that marked them as Shelby, not as a Dodge. This was a continuation of the Omni GLH from the previous year. Shelby used the Turbo I engine updated with the intercooler and plumbing of the Turbo II engine, but without the stronger forged crank, full-floating pin pistons and other durability enhancements of that engine, good for 175 hp (130 kW) and 175 lb·ft (237 N·m) of torque. The suspension was upgraded with Koni adjustable struts/shocks and uprated Z tires. The only color was black and they were all equipped the same. A special sticker on the speedometer upped the readout to 125 mph (201 km/h). A special numbered Shelby Automotive badge went in place of the normal Charger badge
