I am the second owner of this scrambler. This Honda was purchased on Aug, 9 1967 in New Jersey to ride through college as many students did. The owner finished college at Montclair State College in 1970 and moved to Ohio. The bike still retains its 1969-70 jersey inspection sticker. With a new career, the owner didn’t have time to ride this bike so he decided to put this bike in “mothballs”. The owner then covered nearly all chrome parts with Vaseline while the bike sat from 1970 to this year. This Honda is in complete, unmolested, factory original condition from the paint down to the OEM Dunlop Universal tires. Nearly every fastener is untouched with the exception of fasteners that had to be removed for maintenance purposes. Included is the OEM manual with owner notes that include purchase date, OEM tool kit, and OEM keys. One of the keys still retains the owner’s college keychain. I believe this to be a rare, highly optioned Honda sold as a thank you by Honda to high volume dealers of the era as it has a chrome headlight, chain guard, and six hole CL fenders. This bike has had a recent tune-up that included plugs, OEM points and the carburetors where cleaned. The bike has period correct "snuffer knots" that were period exhaust modifications for the cool wide open sound if needed.
