1991 Ford Festiva with 1.8 DOHC Escort GT "BP" engine conversion. Vermillion Red with a tan interior. 111k miles on body and transmission. 71k on engine. Family owned since new. Custom engine swap was done in Sept 2011. The 1.8 DOHC Escort GT engine has 60k on it at the time of swap. Engine was re-gasketed, new timing belt and water pump, and hoses were installed before installation. A new, larger radiator was installed as well. A new exhaust down pipe and high flow cat was installed. The rest of the exhaust is stock. This is a quite sounding system. Suspension mods include new Ford Motorsport springs front and rear and matching KYB G2 struts, custom rear adjustable stabilizer rod. The front sway bar has been upgraded with grease fitted urethane bushings and a upper strut tower brace. Aftermarket 13" vintage American racing wheels are wrapped in 1 1/2 year old and very meaty Kelly Explorer 175/ 70 all season tires.Interior upgraded with Escort center console. Body still wears its original paint. Car still shines and is overall very clean. As with any 22 year old car, it has its share of nicks, chips and scratches. I have many extra parts that are included. I was planning on doing the Kia Rio front end swap, which includes heavy duty spindles and laarger discs and caliper with KYB struts. So I have a complete set of 2002 Rio strut assemblies. I also have a high performance '255" fuel pump and 94 Escort 14 sluminum wheels to fit. The only issues the car has currently is that it needs a driverside axle and a set of front wheel bearing as they are starting to make some noise.
