Selling my 1976 Mercury Capri II. I purchased this car about 2 years ago from the previous owner in Colorado. The engine runs pretty well and does not smoke. It will probably need a good tune-up. All the parts in the engine bay appear to be there so it is complete. The 4-speed transmission shifts very smooth and feels very tight. The brakes work but the car with need new tires. For the age of this car, it has minimal rust. I pulled the carpets out to show the floor boards. They are excellent with the exception of the driver side which only had some surface rust. I cleaned and primed it but you can see it’s solid. The door seals were bad hence the leak. The doors are fairly good had have minimal rust as with the rest of the car. The rear hatch is not in the best condition and will need more extensive attention. The original bumpers are also in good condition with no cracks. The interior is over all in good shape. The carpet is fair but will need dyed as it is heavily faded. The seats are in very good shape and complete. I have a brown dash and accompanying panels that come with the car to match the interior in addition to the black dash mounted in the car. (I have a black interior with front and back seats, door panels and a good carpet I would sell separate for $300 but the seats will need reupholstered). This car can be driven to test only. Its a solid project car of a model that is becoming very hard to come by. For what I’m asking for it, the parts alone are well worth it. I was going to restore it but started a new job and do not have the time. I’m asking $850 for this car. It will be solid as is with no warranty. It has a PA title which is clear. Car must be paid for via PayPal or cashiers check within 5 days from the end of the auction. The car must be picked up within two weeks from the end of the auction. Good luck and happy bidding !!
