This auction is for a one of a kind custom built 1971 bmw 2002 Clean title History about the car. I am the second owner of the car, Bought the car from a family friend back in 2007 The car had been sitting for a few years when I got it so I did a full restoration of the car in the summer of 2007 The car is in running and driving condition, handles perfectly, has no major mechanical issues. Clutch feels perfect and has no sign of slipping. Brakes stop really well. Disk in front, drum in rear. 80% pads left, rotars spin freely with no problem, have no grooves. Tires have 40% tred left on them, I have never had a flat once in the 5 years they have been on the car, still grip around corners superbly. The interior was dynamated and is very well insulated from road noise, the stereo is tuned and sounds awesome. The car is virtually rust free except for 3 small spots, rear quarters and under the rear window Never been in an accident, all lights work including turn signals etc..I put hundreds of hours into this car upon restoration and upkeep over the years and want to see it go to a good home. Some of the many things done upon restoration: - Newer engine and transmission replacement from a wrecked 1973 Bmw 2002 with 75 k miles on it - Lowering springs - Volk TE 37 lookalike rims - 350z sunset orange 3 stage paint - f1 spec bucket seats with crow harnesses - Dynamat interior before laying carpet - Custom upholstery, door panels, carpet etc.. - 6 speaker sound system with pioneer deck - Custom brushed aluminum bike rack comes with the car - Upgraded to electronic fuel pump - Shaved trim all the way around the car - Shaved custom 1 piece rear bumper - Custom front end including shaved bumper mounts - Custom cutout for exhaust and custom exhaust The bad - Paint is in good condition but starting to show tiredness on places like trunk - Rust free except small patches inside rear quarters causing bubbling seen in the picture, and small spot underneath rear window - Small dent in hood from a garbage can - Drivers door was just repaired and repainted due to a bad window seal, unfortunately the paint is a shade or two darker, only noticeable from certain angles - Engine leaks small amounts of oil after engine getting to temperature and small amount of smoke from engine - Speedo cable and fuel gauge not working - Needs slight tune up- No lock in drivers door handle Keywords: bmw 2002 71 1971 datsun 510 jdm 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 1975 1976 1977 68 69 70 71 72 73 74 75 76
