This NO RESERVE auction is for a very nice clean original 1970 Ford XL 2 door hardtop with 63357 original miles. It is in Burnt Amber Metallic (also called Ginger Glow Metallic) with the very nice original brown vinyl top. The interior is Ginger vinyl. The interior is in excellent original condition with no rips, snags, or wear with the exception of the dash pad which is cracked in several places. The options include the 390 V8 2 barrel carburetor (the 351 V8 was standard), Cruise-O-Matic transmission, power steering & power front disc brakes, cruise control (works), Air conditioning (needs to be recharged), R & L color keyed sport mirrors with driver's side remote, Mag styled wheel covers, rocker moldings, wheel opening moldings, color keyed vinyl insert side moldings, tinted glass, clock (not working), 'rim blow' steering wheel (one of the horns work intermittently), and AM push button radio with rear seat speaker (works fine). I have a factory AM/FM stereo push button radio that will be offered to the buyer at extra cost. The exterior is in a very nice condition. There are a few minor dings and scratches but that is expected in a 42 year old car. There are a few minor dents in the hood, one in the driver's door by the handle and one lower at the bottom of the door. The car has most of it's original paint and it is in good condition. The driver's side quarter panel has had some paint work done. I haven't found any rust. All of the moldings are very nice. Glass is excellent. Bumpers are nice. The vinyl top is very good. Mechanically the car is very good. Since the car had been in inside storage for almost 30 years, we pulled the fuel tank and cleaned and lined it. Replaced the entire fuel line from back to front, replaced the fuel pump and rebuilt the carburetor. New spark plugs, points and condensor. The engine oil was changed. It runs and drives like a new car! The engine is very quiet and the transmission shifts smoothly. The brake system was serviced with new master cylinder, new rear brake cylinders and shoes and drums turned and the system flushed. The tires are Michelin G78-15 radials with good tread but they are at least 30 years old, so they should be replaced if the car is to be driven long distances. It still has the original double whitewall tire as the spare! PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BID: I have made every attempt to describe the vehicle accurately but sometimes minor issues are missed. The car is being sold as is where is with no warrantee expressed or implied. It has a clear Nebraska title and will come also with a Bill of Sale. The buyer is responsible for the transportation of the car. A $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal is required within 48 hours from the end of the auction and full payment is due within 7 days from the end of the auction. The car and title will not be released until the funds clear, no exceptions. The vehicle must be picked up within 30 days from the final payment day unless other arrangements are approved by me.
