I intended on keeping this car forever and pass it along to my son, but life sometimes calls for changes in direction. This is one of those moments where I really don’t want to part with such a nice vehicle, but forced to do so. Because I was interested in keeping it forever, I only did things that enhanced it for my pleasure, never intending to make money on the modifications. I have lost the garage it was stored in for other uses. Leaving it outdoors started to wear into the new paint job and I don’t want to continue leaving it in the weather, even though it has been covered for most of its outdoor life. The car also has high mileage on it, nearly 168K miles. But don’t let that fool you; it is essentially new with a newly built motor in 2002 at 146,680 miles, just over 20K miles in 10 years. The transmission is even newer, rebuilt by Dynotech in 2007, has a very stiff shift and extremely strong. The exterior was repaired with metal work and new paint job three years ago. The interior is extremely immaculate and very comfortable. Add to that an Alpine stereo with XM and you get one of the best rides in comfort and speed….oh yeah, did I say speed? Push on the gas, it goes. From the start line, it goes. From highway speed, push on the gas, it goes. No matter when you push on the pedal, you are sitting back in the seat. There are many features to control and monitor the vehicle performance. It has a MAF translator with an LS1 MAF, a wideband O2, performance logger, enhanced chip, and alcohol injection. These are just some of the enhancements, read on to see all detailed installations and upgrades that have been done. But, after all that, it is still stock appearing and gets huge thumbs up on the road each time it goes out. If you want a head-turner, this is it. But you don’t get to look at them turning their heads for long; you pass up most anything on the road if you want to. I have a large stack of receipts for the car with a three ring binder with all of the manuals I could save from the changes made and parts added. I have invested easily over $30,000 in this beautiful car since I have owned it. I really want it to go to a good home so it can be taken care of, as well as driven, as it should be.
