You are viewing a restored 1970 VW Karmann Ghia. We purchased the car from a previous owner that has started the rebuild in 2006. She had the engine rebuilt by Peak Performance in Maryland at a total cost of $4,308.75. The car has a 12V conversion. It has a variety of new parts to include clutch, distributor, rotors and brakes, new bearings and races, plug wires, left and right tie rods, a cleaned carburator, and a full muffler set. The previous owner did all the engine work and we have all of the receipts from her rebuild. We purchased the car and began the full interior and exterior restoration. We completed the body work and put a new paint job on the car in Pearl White. We also added several new chrome pieces and also included new stainless steel bumpers with new grommets for the finishing touch. Thr car has a glass VW emblem that was hand blown. There are new seals around the doors, windows, hood and trunk. It has a new windshield, new hub caps with beauty rings, new tail pipes, new tires and shocks, and a new battery. The interior was also fully restored with new carpet throughout (including trunk) and new vinyl seats with new foam padding. The floor pans are solid and original. The door panels, door handles, arm rests, sun visors, seat belts, dome light, and rear partial tray were replaced. We added a new matching ivory shifter knob (with pattern), chrome horn ring and a console for a finishing touch. There is a small defect in the paint (little bubbling) under the front 1/4 panel. It's not very noticable unless you look under the car. The car runs great and gets a lot of attention at car shows. Serious bidders only.
