You are bidding on an extra clean 98 Ford Contour SE Hybrid sedan the has the factory dual fuel (bi-fuel) option, that can burn CNG (compressed natural gas) or regular unleaded fuel, by a switch on the dash. (see photo) The 2.0 liter DOHC 4 cylinder Zetec engine easily gets over 30 MPG hiway. This car is loaded with power options, and has cold A/C. This car was owned, operated and maintained by Southwest Gas, a local utility, until 2008. It has 186,000 miles, mostly on CNG. A factory new engine was installed in Sept 2004 at about 96,000 miles. The transmission was overhaul in 2009, and has about 20,000 miles. The car runs and drives like a 50,000 mile car, with all systems working as they should. The body has it's share of marks and dings but the paint still looks good and shiny. The roof has dents that appear to be from contact with a pole. (see photo) The tan cloth interior is outstanding, with no signs of wear or stains on the seats or carpet, and has never been smoked in. Has an owners manual, perfect spare tire and jack, both keys and a clean Carfax report. The engine is clean and dry and has recently had the timing belt and drive belts replaced. The battery is new, and has recent tires and wipers. It will however, need brakes soon. This car is a rare find, and may be the best low price Hybrid Contour on the market today. Car is located in Mesa, Az., and the buyer must make arrangement to pick the car up at my home, but I will assist in any way that I can. Also, shipping to Salt Lake is possible for expenses.
