gentleman i have for sale my 6.2 diesel powered range rover. i purchased this rover in 2008 with 101.000 miles in it from the original owner . i drove her till 2011 then decided to convert it to diesel . motor came from military humvee its a military spec J CODE motor . with less than 5k miles on it, it was replaced under government re power program to put 6.5 turbo diesel motor . the motor was installed professionally, adapter plate was crated to make it work with original zf 22. witch worked very nice , then we decided to raise bar one more time and change it to 6 speed manual short ratio DODGE VIPER transmission .. transmission works awesome 75 mph at 1750 rpm unheard of in diesel world things that this rover has 6.2 j code motor from humvee T 56 6 speed manual transmission from dodge viper LT230 transfer case from 1994 discovery 1 6 CORE radiator with the same core used on 18 wheeler trucks 200 amp alternator manual glow plug heating system made in USA fuel pump with check valve Volvo heavy duty inner cooling fan Mercedes Benz front outer fans double battery setup G60 glow plugs new power steering gear box and pump heavy duty clutch and flywheel brand new shorter drive shafts with much stronger u joints old man emu rear springs and ford F250 front springs and much much more , it took us 3 moths to finish this rover i enjoyed every mile of that diesels clunk clunk clunk and the fact that i could run it with all kinds or oils this rover still has the original paint witch means no accidents and no spot of rust . what it needs is . some interior work and new transfer case . i damaged the gears last week in a place were i wasn't suppose to be motor runs excellent t56 shifts excellent new buyer must change the T CASE (about 3 hours of job and 300 dollar used t case ) this motor can be run with all kinds of oils you can check my youtube videos , i am selling this rover is to buy defender 110 or 130 . this range rover is one of a kind and new buyer will be very happy with it. rover comes with spare injection pump axles and roof rack i am starting this action with no reserve hoping my rover will find a good home good luck and tnx very much youtube videos >>>>> under the 6.2 diesel classic range rover On Oct-03-12 at 11:47:46 PDT, seller added the following information: this rover needs a new transfer be drivable again, engine is in top shape , transmission shifts very nice true the gears , but rover is stuck in neutral due to the damaged gears insde the transfer case On Oct-03-12 at 12:22:25 PDT, seller added the following information: FOR SOME REASON I CANT UPLOAD PICTURES OF THE INTERIOR , BUT I HAVE THEM READY TO BE EMAILED , PLZ ASK ME AND I WILL EMAIL THEM TO YOU On Oct-06-12 at 21:07:44 PDT, seller added the following information: fuel economy on this rover is double than the regular range rovers , about 24 mpg avrg. this rover can be driven with 12 gallons of diesel mixed with 6 gallons of used transmission fluid ,that can be obtained from many transmission shops for free , that brings the fuel cost down to 2.50 a gallon , or gasoline mixed with used motor oil + diesel the rest .. this motor is made in 1991 witch is updated 6.2 very similar to 6.5. not like the old 6.2 parts alone to put this rover together was over $8500 not include the vehicle itself and the labor and more labor bolts alone used on this truck are worth 450 bucks air craft bolts from Burbank calif .
